  • Ran my 1st official 5K race this weekend. Finished 229th out of over 5,000 runners!! When I started my journey, my goal was to finish the 5K in under 30 minutes. I finished the race with a time of 24:38!!! I'm about 7-8 lbs away from my goal weight and i'm going to try and get my next 5K in under 20 minutes. (next race is…

  • Ran my 1st 5K with my company running group this weekend and ran non-stop! Went really well. I think I could have run further if I really wanted to. Time for 5K was 32 min 58 sec.!!
  • W5D1 was not that bad. W5D2, the first run was tiring, and the last 8 min run felt like I could run forever. W5D3 was completed last night, and it seems as if the 1st runs are harder on me than the runs following the first time I get to walk. The only problem is that the 20 minute run was the 1st run, so I struggled the…

  • W4D1 was not as easy as I thought it would be. I skipped W2 after feeling like W1 did nothing for me. W3 was a good starting point for me. I did W4D2 on Sunday night (1/15) and it was the 1st time since I started the journey to 5K where I feel confident that I'll be able to do this. I still need to slow myself down. Even…

  • C25K....it's an awesome program, and there's a group you can join on here for C25K!
  • Howdy! I live in Texas and have been playing golf since I was 12 years old. Won district 3 out of my 4 years while playing in highschool (2nd my freshman year). Played 4 years of college golf at a small DIII college called TLU. Worked for several golf courses and retail shops before starting my real career and starting a…
  • This is my prediction for 2012. He will win more tournaments than any other player in 2012 (most wins by any PGA tour player in 2011 was only 2). He will be awarded player of the year honors as well as win the Vardon Trophy. He could possibly even win comeback player of the year!?!?
  • Just signed up for my 1st 5K event on Feb 25!
  • I've ran both in the morning and in the evening. Running wakes me up and gives me a boost of energy, so if you can stand the cold mornings, I'd say go for it. I find myself enjoying the evening runs better, but it does keep me awake longer than I would like sometimes.
  • Just finished Week 3 and the only run that is tough to get through is the 1st 3 min run...all the others are a breeze!
  • Me too!!!
  • I'm 5'11" and I started out at 195 lbs, but my goal is between 160-165. I started a month ago from today, and i've lost 12 lbs so far! I just want to get in better shape and become the athletic person I used to be. Also, I've been needing new clothes for a while now, but I refuse to buy clothes that fit me while weighing…
  • Did the W3D1 workout twice last week (once by myself and once with my neighbor) and didn't have any problems, but it definately seemed like a good place to start! Already have a few 5K races lined up when I graduate from the program!
  • Check out couch potato to 5K (C25K). There is a group that you can join on here and there is a free app for it, too! It's an 8 or 9 week program that gradually builds you up from mostly walking to being able to run a 5K (or non-stop) for 30 minutes. My wife has always struggled with running, but she's already doing week 2…
  • Thanks for the feedback!
