To increase my push ups and pull ups reps, I started with 3 sets of 5 because that's all I could really do (dual shoulder injury) each week, maybe even twice a week. After keeping that up, using the assisted pull up machine and adding on back and chest work outs throughout the week, my body weight feels like air.

I usually start out the week with chest because it's the muscle I'm lacking most in and I want to hit it hard while it's fresh :)

I'm trying to put on about 10 lbs (1/2 lb a week) with this new diet I'm trying. It's pretty basic and common, but feel free to take a look.

I usually just end up going for the light beers, which are always cheaper anyway If you're really worried, just try to pace yourself and choose light beer. I have the problem of drinking too much, craving greasy foods and not caring.
