Men, please see the group I just started for this post "Men on a Mission: 50 lbs lost by Thanksgiving". Also, please respond either to the group or this message if you are interested in joining us. The more, the merrier!

Anyone else like to join?

As soon as we have 6-8, I will get a group started for this. Welcome Mike, Richard, and David!

Men - my apologies for not keeping things going. I'm happy to see that you are still posting your results. I think I am going to need to pass the torch to someone else, as the last few weeks have been busy and I have not been able to keep up with it. But hey, I kept at it for 6 months - that's not bad! I am still on…

Hello Men! Congratulations to pancho for taking most pounds and most % this week! Happy Independence Day (USA)!!! I have to say that today (for me) is going to be a no loss day (and hopefully not any gain), but tomorrow I'm back at it. I wish you all the best this week. Keep your chin up Tim, there is still plenty to do…

212.2lbs!

Hello Men! Sorry it took me a few days to get the week 25 results up! Congrats to pancho and stevLL to taking the lead this week! This week's topic - what are you going to do differently on July 4th weekend (for those of us in the USA) to not gain weight, and possibly still lose weight? Any tips for the rest of us? Ideas?…

Download the latest podcast (free) from Above and Beyond. Their show is called "Trance Around the World". It keeps me moving and it is always something new. It's techno/trance with a fair amount of singing so that you aren't just listening to a beat the whole time. Good luck!

215lbs!

Good catch - it's fixed in the table above! Thank you!

Men! Welcome to week 24 of Men on a Mission, Part 2! Congratulations to stevLL for the win for most pounds lost! Also, I have created a new category for % of weight lost (Biggest Loser style) - I take the win this week! Yay! This week, please tell us your top two motivations for losing the weight. It's been several weeks…

217.4lbs!

Here are the week 23 results - Tacos was the winner! Thought I should post these results before this weekend! Sorry for the delay guys, I will try to do better for this weekend about posting the results!

Hey Men, my weekend weigh-in was around 223lbs. The apolloag effect conquers again...however, yesterday I had a change of heart. I've been getting frustrated that I haven't been able to put as much time in running, walking, and everything else and kind of gave up over the weekend. However, I look back at some of my best…

Hey Men! My apologies for not posting this sooner! Not only did the apolloag effect kick in this (grrr, I was down to 218, and then back up to 222!), but a busy week with sick kids made for a complicated week. In any case, no drop for me this week. I'm still shooting for my 210 goal by July 4th, but we'll see! Keep working…

Reporting in at 222.2lbs (1 lb gain). I started out the week strong, and then on Thursday, I think the first 20 weeks just added up and I have kind of fallen back into some bad habits. I think the 1 lb gain is probably just having more food in my system, but in any case, I'm frustrated. However, I just went on a 400…

Another note to Tim - I'm no stranger to weeks without loss (or gain) and starving. I like to call it METH - Must Endure the Hunger! Make sure you are eating something though - your body gets upset with you if you aren't consuming enough calories. In any case, I think you and Tacos need to start up a little…

Hey Men! Only a day late this week! Two of you didn't lose weight, but at least none of us gained any this week! Reporting in at 221.2 lbs. Congrats to pancho again on a good week! I've decided that I want to reach my goal (210) by July 4th. That's roughly 11-12 lbs in ~6 weeks. Anyone else have any 4th of July goals (even…

Sorry about the delay guys! Congratulations poncho! Keep up the good work men! Week 20 is almost here!!
-
Reporting in (weekend weight) of 223 lbs. Will post results by tonight!
-
Welcome stevLL, tdonlin had all the info, if you post this weekend, please remember to post last weekends weight too. Good luck!
-
I'm with you there tdonlin! I've hit 2nd place a few times, but someone always comes out with a big 7-8 pounder when I am losing 3-4! Oh well, now that I think of it, I should've made a # of weeks at 2nd place column! Hang in there!
-
Ok Men - sorry for the delay with posting the results! I'm posting my same weight as the previous week (I confirmed this morning), so no loss or gain for me. We are still losing some of the regulars, but perhaps they got what they needed from this forum! Hopefully, we'll hear from them some time soon. I started running…

Hello Men! So, my birthday was yesterday...in any case, I loaded up on some food and my weigh-in is much higher than I think my actual weight is. I will post the final results tomorrow night, as I'm not writing this from the same PC I normally do the spreadsheet with. Hope you all had a nice weekend! Check back tomorrow…

Reporting in at 223.6lbs. From now on, I will report in on Saturday. It seems to be more accurate due to my Saturday eating habits messing up Sunday's readings. 17 weeks later, we are starting to lose some of our regulars. We keep getting new ones, but they aren't keeping track - perhaps they lose the thread. In any case,…
-
creeker, sure, please give your starting weight, goal weight, and last weekend's weight. Then give us your weight this weekend (be consistent with either Saturday or Sunday). Welcome!!
-
No worries Tvision! Minor setback - we'll see you on the charts again next week!
-
Congratulations to Dbow and Swilson! Nice job on the 4 lbs guys! ...uh..hmm...cough...as for the rest of us.... This week's topic: WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO DIFFERENTLY THIS WEEK TO GET OUT OF THE RED ZONE!!!!??? Ok, I know it was Easter week and some of us were travelling, but 5 of us (6 of us including tacos '0') gained…
-
Reporting in for a gain of 1lb- at 226.4 lbs. Will put the official report and more details in tomorrow! It looks like a rough week though! I think that Mackoy is our winner!
-
Reporting in at 225.4lbs! Back in June in '09 when I started this endeavor at ~295lbs, my goal was 225lbs. Now it is 210, but it is fun to see myself at my original goal! We had a good week this week! The only one of us who had a small gain (tacos), had a great loss last week - just look at it as an average weight loss of…
