  • He probably thought you were fly and then figured he didn't have a chance with you if you were knocked up!
  • Any November due dates in here yet or am I the only one quite that keen! This will be my second.
  • That sounds low to me. Obese women are supposed to gain less but not lose during pregnancy and you are likely eating at a fairly large deficit. I would say 1800-2000 would be more reasonable. If you set your MFP to maintenance first trimester and then half a pound a week after that your weight gain would be around 20…
  • Your body needs fuel. I know once you get really good at eating low calorie it's totally possible to have eaten a ton of food and be under 1200 but it's just not enough for your body to run on. I like to make homemade Lara Bars to have as treats.
  • That's BS that you can't eat all of your calories. You're obviously choosing foods that are very low in calories if that's true. Grab some nuts, avocado, drizzle some olive oil on your veggies, throw flax or hemp on your oatmeal. Not being able to eat ENOUGH is rarely a real obstacle.
  • My partner works for the federal government in Canada and I am self-employed as a photographer and therefore do not pay into employment insurance and do not get "maternity leave". (I just work as much or as little as I want in the first year.) But since I don't take it my partner is eligible for the portion that is…
  • A fitbit wouldn't account for this because it is only measuring how far and fast you are walking/climbing. It doesn't know whether you are working harder or pushing a stroller. A HRM would give a better indication.
  • Nope, definitely not an issue. In fact, you'll likely wear less because you'll burn off any glycogen stored in your muscles and sweat a bit as well.
  • ^This. If your TDEE is 1550 you shouldn't be losing weight because you're either very thin or a child.
  • I think mine is set to 50/30/20 and I'm having no trouble losing. It's really grams that are more accurate than percentages when you're on a reduced calorie diet. I also am not getting many carbs from grain sources right now but mostly legumes, vegetables and fruit. Being as green vegetables count as carbs I think it is…
  • I am working towards higher protein, not lower carb. Remember that beans and vegetables are carbs so if you are limiting those that is not going to be awesome for a vegetarian. I am vegan and I can tell you the best source of protein for me is seitan. Seconds are tempeh and tofu. But I find the protein in lentils and beans…
  • 15 pistachios. Half a cup of frozen blueberries. OR yes, vegetables will always fit the bill!
  • If you have a high powered blender you can buy natural peanut butter, drain off the oil and blend it up with water for something similar. It won't be quite as low calorie/fat because you can't press all of the oil out but it's definitely an improvement and you get more PB than came in the jar.

  • An alternative to logging would be taking photos of your food. That's supposed to work just as well and would take less time but still hold you accountable.
  • Yep, they are all estimates. Some are just more accurate than others. With the navy estimate I have around 30%. With the Y calculator I have 23%. On my scale I have 26%. So, it gives me a range. As long as you use a consistent method and see it going down you should be happy.
  • My advice is...don't.
  • It's annoying to me hearing about how many doctors are "prescribing" diets when they have next to no training in nutrition. They are so caught up in the pathology of disease that they only know how to treat illness, not promote wellness. Just because one doctor tells you something doesn't mean it's true or you have to do…
  • If you can do 200 it means it isn't hard enough for you. When you can do a significant amount of an exercise it means you're just working on endurance, not strength. Find ways to make it harder. There are progressive versions of most body weight exercises. So if you're doing crunches with your feet up and arms above your…
  • Because you need calories to build muscle and when you're barely fueling your body it can't be making anything extra, just maintaining. Plus it would be unlikely for any woman (even one with a specific goal of bulking) to put on any significant muscle mass in two weeks. If she did it would be by eating an excess of…
  • I live in a small condo too but I can do the Turbo Fire HIIT workouts at home. (There is jumping though so I only do them during the day when my neighbour is at work.) Anyway, I second (or third or fourth) the HIIT recommendation. Tabata actually only requires you to work out for FOUR minutes (well, you should warm up and…
  • This is depressing! I wish I had lost my weight BEFORE having my first kid. But I will before having my second and I'm already 25 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight. You look amazing.
  • I eat two meals a day! Do I win?
  • I'm also on day three. Doing a pretty flexible two meals a day type IF. Basically right now I'm fasting from nine pm till noon. Loving it so far!
  • I'm vegan. I don't really find it relevant to how many calories I eat other than that I automatically nix the cheese and fatty meats that might add up on someone else's diary. As others have said 1800 with an hour workout doesn't seem bad to me as long as the intensity was there on the workout. If you want to eat less make…
  • No, I am a 32H. Good suggestion to try on in the store and then order online. I think I will do that. That's weird about Lululemon because the employee at the Change store said she was the same bra size as me and buys hers from there. Maybe the sizing is different? Anyway, I will totally check out eBay, that's a really…
  • I would prefer not to order online so that I can try on but thanks for the name brand suggestions. I'm 32H right now.
  • All of my bras are from change though unfortunately the stores are in Vancouver which is a ferry ride away. Last time I was there I wanted to get a sports bra but I needed an S4 and they didn't have it. The XS4 was too small (I'm not that tiny yet.) in the actual size and the S3 was too small in the cup though the rest fit…
