  • Same boat here. The only days that I stay reasonable on it is when I cook from scratch type stuff. Fresh meats and veggies type stuff. Anything processed has a ton of sodium in it as well as anything that is "light" or "Fat Free" because they replace the fat with sodium for taste purposes. Unless you have a health concern…
  • 1/1 SW: 211 CW: 202 Feb GW: 200 - Stretch goal 197 Weigh in Dates (I adjusted for my normal weigh days): 2/1 - 205.5 2/5 - 205 2/12 - 204 2/18 - 202 2/28 - Total weight lost: (since 1/1: 9) for Feb: 3.5 I am checking in a day earlier since today is my anniversary and we are going out to dinner. I will plan accordingly but…
  • I love cottage cheese. I like the Knudson 2% or the Kroger 2%. Agree with above about staying away from Great Value (Walmart brand). I mix it will some light cinnamon applesauce (little 4 oz cups). Only thing I don't like is that it is usually high in sodium.
  • oh goodness.....My quit day is March 1st. I love my sleep and this is not making me happy that quitting is going to screw with that. The more I read from the Quit for Life booklet I got yesterday, the more I am thinking this was just a bad idea....NO NO NO I am quitting March 1st (40th bday). Hoping to hear some good…
  • You can use the notes section at the bottom of your food diary if you want to track extra stuff. But you would have to set it up everyday for yourself or go through on one day and set up the next week.
  • Mother - yes, Full Time desk job - yes, lower back pain - sporatically plus knee issues. I am 5'5" with a goal of around 150 at this point and reevaluate based on how it is going with toning ect.. when I get there. Feel free to add me.
  • Drink lots of water, that will flush your system. Still may take a day or two but it will flush out of your system.
  • I want a man who will treat me like I deserve to be treated...and not just until the wedding but for life. I don't need a yes man but a partner in all things. Somewho who will walk through life with me, not in front or behind, will call me on my *kitten* when needed and will give undying support. Pretty sure he doesn't…
  • I am a little bit taller (5'5") and I am not sure I will ever get down that low but for now I have a GW of 150 and then will reevaluate. I learned last time on was here that I need to stay and be faithful everyday or the weight just comes back and I get to start over. I am here for the duration. Anyone can feel free to add…
  • My gut says to go out with him, enjoy the evening, keep it light and see where it goes. However, my brain is telling me that you need to evaluate your work situatuion. Depending on your industry/company, there could be very strict rules regarding personal interaction with suppliers which you may need to disclose to your…

I have been working out quite a bit and eating within my calories everyday.…
  • So sorry for your loss. Yes this can be a difficult time and I am sending prayers to you and your family. Stay strong.
  • That is a totally awesome Victory and I bet it feels great. Now you know that you can do it and that you can do it again and again and again. Keep it up. These little things keep us going strong!!!
  • Welcome to you both. It is amazing how just becoming conscious of what we are putting in our bodies does great things. Get out there and get moving. Feel free to add me.
  • I walk first because if I eat first, then I usually don't want to walk plus the possibility of a tummy ache...
  • Amazing!!! This is an inspiration for me as I am 5'5'' as well. Congrats
  • I have been faithfully on everyday since the first and don't plan on stopping anytime soon as that is what led to me having to come back and start over (35 lbs of start over  ) Now I know I have to log faithfully, give and get encouragement and make this part of my lifestyle. Thank goodness having some great friends…
  • Pot roast in the crock pot with No Yoke Noodles and French Cut Green Beans. I am working from home today with a sick kid and the crock pot started smelling really good about an hour ago and dinner isn't for several more hours.....
  • Eating out is the hardest one. If it is a "local" place and not a chain, you will almost never get the nutrition info. There are ususally something in the database that is close. If I know I am eating out and can't find the info before hand, I will find the closest thing on the database and typically add a random 200 cals…
  • Yes it is tougher the NEXT time around, regardless of what number is NEXT!!! Sounds like you have some good habits going on. I would play around with your calorie intake. Maybe it is too high, or it could even be too low. No two bodies are exactly the same and fit into a one-size-fits-all perfect solution. Sometimes you…
  • I have this issue as well. When I first get the snacking urge, I drink a big glass of water. If a half hour later, I am still hungry, then I try to have a reasonable snack: popcorn, yogurt, skinny cow ice cream, etc.. Also, if you brush your teeth, nothing taste good afterwards and you are less likely to want to eat…
  • Great philosophy. The idea of taking small steps into something that you can live with forever is what will make this successful and a lifetime committment.
  • Thanks for the above info. The one I bought off a friend for $50 buck just quit on me (thankfully I was doing cool down walk when it stopped dead on me). I really want to replace it but the options are so widely varied and pricing too.
  • I will do this when I get home tonight though I will do my two miles at lunchtime provided I don't get called into any meetings. Thanks for posting SuzMac. Hope all is OK with Gary....:flowerforyou:
  • 1/1 SW: 211 CW: 205 Feb GW: 200 - Stretch goal 197 Weigh in Dates (I adjusted for my normal weigh days): 2/1 - 205.5 2/5 - 205 2/12 - 2/19 - 2/28 - Total weight lost: (since 1/1: 6) for Feb: .5 I just can't seem to get past this point. I feel like I have lost the same pound up and down for the past three weeks. I guess I…
  • Great idea. I made Butternut squash soup on Sunday and I plan on eating leftovers for lunch all week long that was fantastic. Here it is: 1T Olive Oil 2 Cups Chopped Onion 1t curry powder 6 Cups (about 2 1/2 pounds) Diced Butternut Squash 2 Granny Smith Apples - peeled and cut into bite size chunks 1/2t Thyme 2 15 oz Cans…
  • Don't get discouraged...this is a journey, not a race. 3 pounds in less than three weeks is great. That is just over a pound a week. Think of it this way, if you stay on that trend, you will be 52 pounds lighter in one year. Imagine how that will feel. When ever I get discouraged about ONLY losing a certain amount, I have…
  • Ernest - Thank you for sharing your story. Very inspirational. While as a few have said, you did the hard work through proper diet and exercise but the strength and willpower to do that comes from God. Your faith is inspiring!!!!
  • This one is so subjective to each person's body. WW once told me that 10 pounds is the equivlent to a dress size. I don't know what dress size they are thinking about but for my body (I am really dense), I have to lose close to 20 before I see a clothing size change. In the past (not there yet this LAST time around), I had…
  • done except for the walk which I will do later this afternoon. My body is screaming at me....
