I just can't drink black coffee, it has to have some cream. Powdered coffee mate is okay, half and half is good, coconut milk is alright too. But for the past six weeks I've put a protein hot cocoa mix in my morning coffee. It's really good!

I have been doing spinach (because it really doesn't taste like anything) with fruit, water and splenda or stevia. Just one packet is sweet enough for me. That OJ has a ton of sugar that I would leave out. And don't expect it to be pretty.

When I was actually going at 6:30am I would wash my face to wake up, brush my teeth and go to the gym. Then I would drive back home (8 minutes) sweaty to do my shower routine at home. No way would I take all my makeup etc to the gym, it would take twice as long. How far are you from the gym?

When I lost a lot in college my family told me I looked anorexic. I was still 140 so not too small but I think they were just used to seeing me fat. I haven't had that problem since though. Lol

I am in love with michelob ultra pomegranate raspberry. One plus for beer (IMO anyway) is that the bubbles make me feel full so I slam two and quit.

I exercise from 6:30-7:30 am, 6 days a week. I have to go before work because I really hate when the gym is crowded in the afternoon/evenings. It's actually been nice to get it done and over with every morning, then I can't procrastinate.

I liked SBD but I need a few more carbs to not feel terrible. My tip would be to not be afraid of fruit if you don't feel good even though phase 1 doesn't include them. Eat a small apple. Good luck!

Read about The Zone diet by Barry Sears. I am IR and while I don't stick to it perfectly it taught me a lot about good carbs, fat & protein. Too little carbs will make you feel terrible, aim for about 30g carbs 20g protein & 10g fat for each meal. Never eat more than 30g of carbs in one sitting. HTH

I would not add the 500 calories as a burn or a food to your journal. It is part of the amount needed each day just to function, your body needs more than mine (for now) so the daily goal number is the way to control that. You typically burn 500-700 calories making milk & feeding baby per day. Up your minimum to 1700 calories like you said and don't dare go under or you will lose your supply. Also, eat your exercise calories on top of the 1700.
