Yes, us too in my household. We both work full time. We pinched pennies for years. Now my hubby works his full time job plus 3 part time jobs just to feel like we get ahead. His full time job is a firefighter. He works PT for two different ambulance districts and then is a high school football referee. We have saved all…

Awesome job! Going to show this to my husband who is not a fan of cardio. I just told him today that he should just lift weights and he balked because he said you have to do cardio. This proves different.

Kohls sometimes, but mostly Danskin from Walmart of all places. Sometimes 7 bucks for tops, 5 bucks for shorts, and 10 or 12 bucks for capri/yoga pants. Have held up very well and I workout everyday. The Target stuff was okay trying it on, but I didn't buy any.

I was at a friend's house over the weekend and his wife made and cheese/egg dish. 4 cups shredded cheese 4 eggs scrambled a bit jalapenos pour in an 8 inch round glass pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour. We snacked on that while he was cooking dinner. I have no idea how many servings it was. I was surprised I liked it. It kind…

Also, just keep at it. Don't think that one meal makes them picky. They will go along with it eventually and they may even thank you in the future. I also hate cooking, but I have been searching for crock pot meals with 4-5 real food ingredients, so I'm not just loading my family up with processed foods. Then, the crock…

That is a great website. Just make slow changes and let them see you eat healthy. Also, with my oldest (10), I really had to dig to see what she liked that was healthy. She likes hominy, beans, broccoli, salad, pears, strawberries. I think I always just thought she would like what I liked, but once I found out what she…

Eat more high quality food. Think of your body as a machine that needs fuel to run. If you cut it too low, you could be slowing down your metabolism making it that much harder to lose in the future. (If you gain again). Also, think to start eating in a way that is healthy for the rest of your life and then you won't yo-yo.…

^^Ditto for me. Sometimes you just gotta fit it in when you can! WoW! though, you do have a hectic schedule! good Luck!

What worked for me was the couch to 5k plan. You can google it and it eases you into running. Also, I went to a running shoe store to get fitted for proper shoes. Everyone is different so they would be able to help you find the right kind of shoe. I started running on my old cheap shoes and started having foot pain. So I…

My first 5k was at age 35 and my time was 39:45. It was a very hilly course and I was jogging very conservatively b/c I didn't want to walk any during the whole race. My third was age 36 and I had improved to 31:54. I had more confidence in myself at that point.

This topic hit home. My hubby LOVES beer! It does stand in the way of him getting into his best shape. haha, he mostly drinks Miller Light.

I played soccer most of my life, but for at home exercise, mine was not a video, but Denise Austin on TV. Like on ESPN or something like that. I would tape them. This was in my teens. Then I moved to step aerobics, but I can't even remember her name. Mostly Denise Austin videos though.

What helps for me, and I don't know if this is scientifically correct, is breathe deeper (maybe a 3 second count) in through my nose and either back out my nose or out my mouth. If I breathe in through my mouth, it bothers my throat. I absolutely have to keep my breathing under control or I get a nasty side stich that I'm…
