I agree with cutting back on the talking with him for awhile and setting up the weight bench yourself. But also, do some clearing out in your basement...Goodwill or Salvation Army will take your unused items. But, I think it's GREAT that you are so motivated to be fit and healthy!

I'm having the same problem! A friend of mine and I started walkling at lunch. Started out at a mile and did our first 2 miles today.

I want to get back to 150-160 lbs. I think part of it depends on your bone structure, too. Some at 5'7" can do 120-130 and look fine. Years ago I got down to 128 and was threatened to be put in the hospital for anorexia.

I can't take multivitamins either, but I can take prenatal vitamins. Go figure... and no, not trying to get pregnant.

I was in an abusive relationship for 2.5 years (many years ago). Even though I tried to hide it, some people knew. He is not going to get out of it until he is ready. The only thing you can do is let him know you're there for him and that you love him. When he's ready, he will get out of the relationship.

I'm proud I lost 1.5 lbs this week. Not much, better better than gaining :-) Congrats to everyone else on there accomplishments!

I'm a bander, and have not told many people because of this.. (ex above...Phoenix). Before I joined MFP, my friend told me to watch what groups I joined because of the band bashing. No, it's not easy with the band...I wish I would have lost more weight by now, but I'm still an emotional eater and family issues have not…

I have not gone through this type of abuse, but am on nerve pills... Celexa. It is a anti-anxiety/drepression that does not cause weight gain. Maybe, it could be an alternative to the ones that do. I wish you all the best in your recovery. Be blessed.

Just joined myself and I am looking for friends, too. I having a hard time meeting my calorie intake and feel the same way as you as far as family, etc knowing. Hope this adds you as a friend.
