  • haha I know! or when he goes up to one person who is having a hard time and he's like "come on! 4 more! 4-3-2-1! okay, take a break." Then i look at the timer and there's still like 15 seconds left and he was just telling that guy to take a break. Damn tease.
  • "I-need POWER! I-need you-to-DIG!DEEPER!"
  • If you haven't seen Inception you MUST go see it ASAP!
  • I lost 6 lbs in the first month! my legs are a bit thinner and my abs are slowly getting more defined. I'm afraid to weigh again though because the past 4 days i've been eating like crap!
  • i used to eat a full rack of ribs at chili's and follow it up with the molten chocolate cake! funny thing is, i weighed less then. i could eat like that every once in a while then. But then i became anorexic and now that i'm recovered NOTHING will come off and i just keep GAINING!
  • I just finished I Am America (And so can You!) By one Stephen Colbert. Absolutely fantastic.
  • AHHH! and you know how people "like" things? she just "liked" "Never make someone a priority when they only make you an option"....this woman is in her 30's with 2 kids and she's acting like her boyfriend just blew her off for the prom.
  • had I known it was a formal get together and she actually slaved all day in the kitchen and the guest of honor was me, then of course i would have gone! But the fact of the matter is, I was simply joining her and her family for dinner--a dinner they would have made whether i was there or not. WHATEVAAA!
  • I suppose a call would have been the right and more polite thing to do. i'm tempted to comment on her status and just be like "wow your dinner guest must be a real *****" buuut i'm just gonna let this one roll....she'll be over it next week.
  • yeah i can't work out. i feel like i have a neutron star in my stomach. back on track tomorrow!!

  • p90x is indeed an intense workout program. But if you are thinking about buying let me just tell you my experience with it. I really enjoyed it, but didn't go through with the whole 90 days because i have a background in gymnastics, so i tend to get bulky. That's what was happening with me. Now I'm not saying that p90x…

  • saturday is my kick-my-own-*kitten* workout day, that way i feel okay if i have a little extra to eat or if someone invites me out for drinks. it's part of my routine now. every saturday i go for my long run first thing in the morning, even before breakfast. then when i get back i have a bowl of fiber one cereal (keeps you…
  • maybe you could just bring it up in conversation with her that you are working on this new lifestyle and it's really hard to overcome obstacles like birthday parties and business outings. If it's just brought up casually in conversation she won't feel like you are attacking her, but she can still get the hint that you are…
  • good for you! good luck! friend me and/or message me if you need any support/motivation!

  • Thanks for all the motivation everyone! the p90x mantras actually are helpful lol. If I'm not feeling totally motivated, as long as i do my best it's easy to forget the rest. every day isn't a blah day, so tomorrow will be better! I'm in my recovery week of insanity and have been bored out of my mind with core cardio and…
  • Thanks a lot, BiloxiBelle. That makes me feel a lot better. I haven't been eating crazy amounts of food, but i have been craving peanut butter like none other (probably for the carbs and protein). I have been trying to follow a very low calorie diet, around 1000 calories. So this is probably what is wrong and i need to…
  • I totally feel you on the binge eating. But if you try to cut your calories the next day or two, it will only turn into a vicious binge/restrict cycle which is absolutely TERRIBLE for you to do to yourself. Trust me, been there done that. I know having a binge-belly feels terrible and you may not feel like eating, but…
  • I'm on week 5 day 4 of Insanity! It is truly one of the hardest workouts I can think of. It is comparable to the circuit workouts that my boyfriend does for his college track team. If you have never worked out before, be very careful, because you have a greater chance of getting injured. But you can always modify and take…

  • I totally agree with you that food/nutrition should be required in school--and i don't mean the modernized version of home ec! Kids really really REALLY need to know these things because with education comes action. I am going to be an art teacher, but I also plan to get certified to teach a health class. And instead of…
  • Running, vigorous biking, vigorous swimming as a catalyst to lose fat and gain muscle--yoga and/or pilates to lengthen those beautiful muscles out. It takes time, though, so persistence really is key. i can't stress that enough.
  • Yeah, most guys don't understand that we are ALWAYS thinking about "Ooh what part of me is hanging over my pants?" or "Ugh, I hope I don't have armpit fat in this tank top" so when they do things like that they don't realize that it actually hurts our feelings. Don't take him too seriously unless he does this consistently.…
  • Even people who aren't overweight have a food addiction. I struggled with one this past year, gaining nearly 30 lbs. Luckily, I nipped it in the bud before I gained enough to tip into the overweight category. Thank you for posting this. Many people don't realize that there are medical reasons for some things and they think…
  • The chili's queso dip and chips....which is sitting in the kitchen right now...and i'm home alone....but i'm eating carrots and fat free ranch dressing instead. BE PROUD OF ME!
  • I feel you! My freshman year of college I was a borderline anorexic. Then I decided to gain weight. But why would I do it the healthy way? I ate turtle brownies, scotcharoos, nachos...and I mean like a whole pan of brownies, a huge plate of nachos. When i got to a normal weight I thought I could just shut the binging off.…
  • I'm going to tonight! I have a tempo run...eek.
  • Go to runnersworld.com they have all sorts of workouts you can do on the treadmill to keep it interesting (hill workouts, speed workouts, etc). Even if you aren't a runner you can look at the workouts and adjust them to walking on the treadmill. It's a great way to change up your workouts a bit and help the time go by…
  • I think running is a turn-off for a lot of people, so when they decide to run to lose weight, they don't give it 100%. It's all about heart rate: Get your heart rate up to 80% of your max heart rate and you are burning more calories. That's the whole point. But many people don't run hard enough to do this, or they don't…
