I went jogging with my mom sometimes when I was like 7 and other times my brother and i would ride our bikes or rollerblade along side her if she was going on a longer run. I also have a friend who runs marathons and her daughter has been doing 5k's with her since she was itty bitty! I think it'll be fine as long as you…

WOW! thanks for your feedback! Some other things you all should know, after reading the replies: I run half marathons, so the exercise will actually fit with my training. I've been running with the dogs at the shelter and that is where i fell in love with this guy. I've run with him quite a few times and his good behavior…

This just made my day! You look beautiful and fit! People are always going to try to bring you down whether you're skinny, fat, long-haired, short-haired, no-haired, dressed-up, dressed-down, no matter what. Keep doing what makes YOU happy and tell the world where they can stick their negative comments :)

yes. yes yes yes. you are in no way alone.

they are low calorie, but not if you eat the whole bag lol. I know exactly what you mean! i can never buy anything munchy like rice cakes or chips or anything. i go through the bag in like 2 days. horrible.

I often get egg beaters (i prefer southwestern style) and put them in a tupperware container and just microwave them. Sprinkle a little cheese and/or salsa on top. yum!

The thing about P90X is that it wasn't technically made for weight loss, so no, you probably don't need to eat all 1800 cals. if you have a heart rate monitor that would be ideal because you could find exactly how many cals you burn in a workout and just plug them in here. if not, i would try and find an exercise on here…

I just ate a tuna steak from a pouch!! It's perfect for college kids who don't have time or are too lazy to cook. I throw it on a salad with some vinaigrette and it's like I cooked or something! lol

Well to me it sounds like one of two things (both of which I have dealt with) 1) if you run on your toes it is probably your calf cramping. however, it sounds more like option 2 to me. 2) compartment syndrome. Basically, when your muscles swell up from exercise + the repetitive motion of running means the blood can't get…

I used to have that SAME problem when I ran cross country in high school. I can't tell you what caused it, but it did eventually go away. There is hope! Now I'm not saying this had anything to do with my issue, but when I got into college I stopped eating meat and haven't had the issue since. That's really the only…

That's amazing that you are getting married during a half! I'm currently training for the Illinois (1/2) Marathon, but have had the flu all week so that blows. And I'm doing a half in May in Salt Lake City!

Thought I would pop in and see how everyone's "day after" went! Back in the day I would try to restrict and make up for the day before, which would eventually lead to another binge...DUH...but I decided to only look at the deficit I create each day from here on out. So yesterday I had a 423 calorie deficit...trying to keep…

SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME! i just blew it in a major way. so i'm totes with ya girl. tomorrow (well it's 3 am here, so today) is a perfect day to start anew

You'll love it. Trust me.

I did it this past year. SO. MUCH. FUN. even if you aren't a runner, you'll love it. WEAR COSTUMES!

any sort of plyometric move will be great for you, almost like a hill workout, because you'll have to do intervals. Here's a list of some random things you can do. Do 30 seconds of each then take a 30 second break. Repeat however many times you feel you can. Jump Knee Tuck: Start with knees slightly bent and jump, bringing…

I would have thought this too, but at first I didn't have any side effects, and then around 6 months, all of a sudden I started gaining weight rapidly and being bloated ALL the time. Now I know the weight gain isn't entirely due the ring, but I think it has played a large part in it, and i think it's the main reason I…

I've heard that jumping around with bc is bad, too. That's why I have given this so long. my situation was basically the opposite of yours. At first I was fine, but slowly i've noticed more weight gain and the bloating has gotten more frequent and just plain painful. So maybe going off of it, I wont gain ten lbs but lose…

Ok good, I'm not crazy! I poop regularly, so I don't think it's intestinal (Too much info? Nah, we're talking about birth control lol). I've tried everything, cleanses, water pills, and I'm just always bloated. I had gone to the doctor and gotten bloodwork taken and everything was normal (thyroid, etc) and he suggested…

ahahaha 12 hours exactly, actually. For me anyway. Never fails lol. I have the same issue as the OP so every once in a while I just take them if I noticed I haven't cleared my system in a while. Oooh running before you eat anything helps too!

i buy my own dressing and sneak it in :)

If you are up to 6 miles fairly regularly, you can definitely do a half marathon in a couple of months! I would start taking fish oil supplements if it's a joint issue with your knee. Those work amazingly well. I have aches and pains when I run distance too, so taking a few ibuprofen an hour or so before you go out will…
