Low Carb Brekkie

Hello all.

I was just wondering what some good alternatives are for breakfast without being too carby? I never really restrict myself on carbs, as long as I am staying under my calorie goal, however I'd like to have at least one day a week where I have a bit of a carb free day.

I normally have porridge, cereal or toast.... all very carby!

Oh and I eat breakfast at the office so nothing which involves a ridiculous amount of prep.

Cheers!

I love having 1 egg & 3 egg white scramble several days a week! Try putting Ms. Dash chipotle seasoning on it too! Little salsa ... great protein source!

I often get egg beaters (i prefer southwestern style) and put them in a tupperware container and just microwave them. Sprinkle a little cheese and/or salsa on top. yum!

Bring in some eggbeaters and make some scrambled eggs, you can do it with a coffee cup and microwave. Atkins bar. String cheese.

All great ideas... I have a microwave so could do some egg related options. And the quorn sausages sound yum! Thanks!

String cheese, an apple, a small handful of almonds made breakfast this morning.

    Other "non egg" suggestions...

    1) spinach salad (w/cheese, fruit of choice, light dressing)
    2) Sandwich on thins
    3) lettuce wraps
    4) Protein bar
    5) cottage cheese or plain yogurt w/ berries
    6) portobello mushroom cap, roasted the day before
