  • Mac and cheese with bbq sauce :)
  • I hate it for numerous reasons. It's dirty. This is going to sound awful but this time of year, the customer service counter is insane. We live in an ag heavy area and there are tons of migrant workers in town right now. Our WM never puts someone who speaks spanish at the CS counter and there are always a ton of people up…
  • Just a different perspective, some of us are doing our best to eat, period. In the past six weeks, I've had some really serious emotional hardships stack on top of each other, all within a few days of one another for about two weeks. All of them totally unrelated but life altering, world shaking hardships. Not throwing up…
  • My husband's Jack Russell TERRORIST (I refuse to claim the little a hole) is named General, a nod to my hubby's army service and the little punk's attitude. My daughter's fox hound/pit bull mix (who is an absolute sweetheart and terrified of the terrorist, with just cause) is named Kruger, his name when she adopted him.
  • I pre log most of the time. I've been having a harder time eating at all lately so I've been trying to just get food in and not worry too much about it but when I'm eating 'normally' I always pre log.

  • Brooklyn here (home of Michigan International Speedway). I grew up on Lake Erie and used to swim indoors in the winter. Now, my hubby and I plan to build a home gym in the basement when we buy another home. He's currently in Afghanistan but being work out partners is a huge part of our plan to stay motivated. We're looking…
  • Weighing myself daily has been what's kept me on track this time. It's so exciting when I see progress that it makes me want to see that again and I work harder. There have been days when it's gone up slightly, water, TOM, but that didn't dicourage me. I have also found that if I get up earlier than usual and weigh myself,…
  • Dayyum! Very nice!!!!
  • I used to drink about 8 cans of diet coke a day, and no water. When I decided to do this 'for real' this time, I bought a 32 oz water bottle. I carry it with me EVERYWHERE, around the house, in the car, everywhere and drink it all day. I usually fill it 2-3 times per day. I keep it next to my bed and drink 16 oz before I…
  • Cilantro Chive Yogurt Dip
  • Having to borrow my 18 year old daughter's clothes because mine are all huge and I don't want to shop until I hit goal. She's 5 inches taller than me so that's been interesting, lol. She also has a beautiful figure so it makes me feel great!
  • I thought happily married for 18 years. Just found out my husband has been having an affair with a co worker in Afghanistan. And reading all the married and unhappy status posts, he has no reason to be unhappy. Sex, I'm down for damn near anything, I cook, I clean, I've raised our kids well, I homeschool them, I send him…
  • Y'all make me feel so lame, lol. The only crush I have is on that hottie in my pics. He called it 'not human' when I insisted I don't look at other men 'like that'. I really don't. I'm freaking insane with both love and lust for him, he's yummy and sweet and a bad boy in all the right ways. We've been together 20 years and…
  • I've been considering doing 'no poo' for a while. A lot of my friends use that method and there's a 2-3 week adjustment period for your scalp but they all swear by it and have amazing hair. One of them is an avid runner and the other works out almost daily and they say they just wet it after workouts, I asked when we were…
  • You look wonderful! I hate 30DS. I've tried it twice and hated it twice, lol. Looking at your results though, I am going to go find that evil DVD and stick it out this time. Nothing worth having comes easy, right? Thanks for the motivation!
  • It's hard when family doesn't see how important it is that you are doing something healthy and important for yourself. I would just keep doing the hard work, including possibly upsetting family by sticking to what you are comfortable eating. They will realize when see how healthy you are! If they don't, then that's their…
  • I'm eating some now! I made the Pioneer Woman's Simple Sesame Noodle sauce with Splenda instead of sugar. I added 1/4 the recipe of sauce to one bag of noodles and one cup of stir fried broccoli and carrots. I threw the noodles in with the veggies for the last few minutes while I was whipping up the sauce. They taste like…
  • My husband is in Afghanistan and our oldest daughter is a high school senior. She was on homecoming court a few months ago and I had to escort her out onto the basketball court during crowning. The pictures of that were the start of my rock bottom. Rock bottom hit hard about 10 days ago. I happened to check my hubby's…
  • I drink 32 oz of water within the first hour of waking and find that I am not hungry until about 10:30 (I wake at 6:00). I usually have a green smootie or protein shake then and lunch around 1:00 PM. I find that when I eat breakfast, which is usually eggs and veggies, I am hungry all morning as well.
  • This was a problem when I worked as well. Not only were lunches disappearing, so were foods prepared for the nutrition classes I taught to low income moms. I was livid!!! I happened to forget my husband's keys in my office one night. He worked midnights so I went back at about 8:00 PM to get them before he left for work. I…
  • This is a good point, the people who are probably best suited for something like shakeology are those who would otherwise eat fast food, something I haven't done in over three years. However, if you are the type of person looking for a quick fix to feed your body, shakeology is a far, far better choice than any drive thru.…
  • Brooklyn, Michigan (currently, not from here, not staying)
  • I'm actually working hard at eliminating the grocery store from my life, my food shopping consists of; Organic beef from a local farm, purchased at the farmer's market Organic eggs from a local farm, purchased at the farmer's market Fresh fruits and veggie at the farmer's market (not a lot currently in season here in…
  • Awwe! That is so sweet!!! My husband is the same kinda guy your dad is. He's not super emotional at all. He's in Afghanistan right now and I am really struggling with a ton of things, all of which are just making my weight battle harder. Our oldest daughter graduates high school in three weeks. I had her while he was in…
  • Thank you all so much. What I really needed, I just got in the form of an hour long pep talk from my husband. I really shouldn't have mentioned that litlle portion of my current situation but it was seriously affecting my ability to wrap my head around the idea of going to the gym. He didn't say anything at all…
