I am getting married on October 27. I My second fitting is on September 12. Hoping to lose a few more pounds before then. :smile:

There is nothing that I won't ever have again. I eat not so good things occassionally. And that's the ticket. It should be an occassional thing, not an at every meal thing. The days I do have a treat - I tend to work out extra hard. It's extra motivation for me.

I'm getting married on October 27 as well. I have about 12 pounds to lose. I have been busting my butt on exercise and watching what I eat. I feel like I' ve got my years against me. I am 51 and it's just not coming off like it use to - I feel like I have to work twice as hard to see a little improvement.

51 and my hormones are working against me. I do low carb because it keeps me in check and helps me with my cravings. I can eat a lot of protein no problem (I keep those lean too). The more carbs I eat, the more I want. If I stick to fruits and vegetables for my carbs I just don't get the same cravings. I have lost 11…

Just remind yourself that the food will only be a temporary fix - you will only feel good while you are eating it. After that you will feel even more horrible than before. Definitely. I use to be a big emotional eater. Now, when something upsets me I do one of two things. I go work out or I go take a nice long bath or shower. Both of these things keep me from eating when I'm not hungry.

I was surprised to find that foods I thought were healthy are pretty high in sodium. Low fat cottage cheese for example - 459 for a 1/2 cup serving.

IMHO - The best time to weigh yourself is first thing in the morning before you eat anything. If you weigh yourself at other times you may be weighing the food you just ate and have not yet digested.
