I concur with others. Eat something healthy tonight otherwise you might be in for a vicious cycle...

^ This. If you are eating because you are bored, find something better to do. If you are eating because you are hungry, eat more during the day - spread out your calories so that you have some to play with at night.

I would say the toast is only a problem if it's a trigger - meaning it makes you want to eat more. If not, enjoy!!

Thanks to all who responded. I had a really good day yesterday. I had a no junk food day, upped my protein and drank a lot more water. It felt really good. Going on my 2nd day of no junk. Went to a vegetarian restaurant for lunch and it was delicious!! To all who said cold turkey - I think I am going to be able to do it…

Thank you! I truly do appreciate the words of support  I know I can and I will!! Thank you for sharing your story. I know that the first few days are going to be hard, so I'm trying to prepare so that when the craving does strike, I will have a plan to divert and make better choices.

I have no plans on giving up Bread, pasta, potatoes or rice. I don't have any issue with those things (in other words, I can control myself around them). I'm thinking more along the lines of Cakes, cookies, pies, donuts...etc.

I had a sandwich with peanut butter - that seemed to help a bit too since peanut butter is a little sweet but also has a lot of protein.

Logically, it makes sense. But like a lot of other addictions (physical or emotional), it's easier said than done. Some of us just need external tools to help us out. Others, like you, are lucky enough to have the internal tools are already built in. I know it's hard to understand, but it is what it is unfortunately. I…

This makes perfect sense. You are very wise..

I am definitely up for a no sugar, low sugar support group. MVP is allowing me to have 24 grams a day so I am really going to start looking at the labels and choosing more wisely. I am not looking forward to those intense cravings that I get a few days into it. I started eating more protein today too and it does seem to…

Thank you so much my sweet wedding planning friend. I actually love the idea of positive affirmation. This is definitely a very positive, helpful piece of advice.

"Detox" was probably the wrong word. Just looking for a plan to get me back to moderation - not eliminate it completely :)

I love the tea idea. I know that Good Earth has a tea that is naturally sweet without any added sugar. I completely forgot about this until you mentioned tea. I also agree with no diet soda - which I typically would drink but like you, I think it just makes things worse.
-
Now that's what I'm looking for!!
-
Ha! You are obviously a lot stronger than I am!
-
I love this!!

Nothing really shocks me so I don't cut anything out, just try to eat in moderation.

My hair started falling out about 3 months after stopping the pill. It seems to have stopped for the most part - no bald patches thank goodness, but t's definitely thinner. I use to have so much hair!!

Ha!

It's a great feeling, isn't it?
