I got a calendar out, and marked my exercise time like an appointment. I have 5 mandatory (to myself) appointments and two optional- Wednesday and Sunday are optional. Also write down something motivational to read before each workout. It can be something as simple as "I CAN do this" or 5K is _______ away!! You will find…

Some days I am hungry earlier in the day and some days it is later. That is just the way my body works. Keep going!! The days I am hungrier early I take an extra walk in the evening to allow for a few more calories, should I choose to eat something later also. Good Luck!! You CAN do this!!

You can do this. Remember, small steps. A little walk is better than no walk. What about the kids, would they like to go for a walk after dinner? I love the show, too!! I wonder how it would feel to go from thin to heavy- and have to deal with all your own thoughts and stereotypes you have made of fat people. I especially loved (and identified with) the episode where she realizes people are "body-checking" her.

Hi!:happy: I am a diabetic also, looking to become healthier. A diabetic group would be great, my doctor told me I was diabetic, gave me a pill to take twice a day and told me to check my sugar. Unfortunately, that was the extent of his concern for my health. (Looking for a new doctor, too)
