Hey, I'm Pam, 26, Delaware, married w/ no kids. I've done Jillian workouts here and there, but never actually stuck it out for the full 30 days without missing. My hope is to do 30 Day Shred in October and Ripped in 30 in November. The holidays will be here before we know it, and we all need the advantage of being in…

I just think of it this way: I used to get a mocha or latte every morning (albeit skim, no whip). But still. My cup of coffee with half and half and turbinado sugar (aka "Sugar in the Raw") only sets me back like 50 cals, instead of the 150 for the latte. No big deal.

This book changed my life and how I look at food. I now read ingredients before I even read anything else on labels. In fact, I hardly look at cals, fat, sugar, carbs, etc. anymore. Highly recommend.

If your feet are tingly, you're probably tying your shoes too tight. I learned this from my endurance coaches. Loosen your laces. Also, I can't tell you how valuable it is to go into a running store and get fitted for shoes. They'll make you try on many pairs and have you walk in front of them to see how your feet are…

I've tried incorporating into my pancakes ingredients like oats, yogurt, whole wheat flour, applesauce. Not necessarily "low calorie" but way more bang for your buck than ingredients like oil and white flour.

Trying my absolute hardest to eliminate these: High fructose corn syrup Partially hydrogenated oils Preservatives I buy food based on ingredients, not on numbers. I want my food to be simple and made of ingredients I've actually heard of and am okay putting in my body.

A little protein and carbs before, and protein, carbs, and salt (if it's a long cardio workout) are after. I usually try to get in about 150 calories before a workout. The suggestions here are good (nuts, fruit, whole grains). Some people can't handle dairy before a run, so watch out for that.

These posts are so inspiring. I need to get my butt back into my Jillian DVDs. I have 30 DS, Ripped in 30 and 6 week 6 pack. All three are excellent. Keep it up, people! Anyone have before and after pics?

I make lots of soup and stew. Get vegetables in, great for leftovers, and the hubs can have as much as he wants, a sandwich with it, etc. Also, I drag my husband along on my health kicks because, even though he might not want to lose weight, watching his calorie intake and eating healthier will only help him in the long…

I would definitely encourage starting some strength training to help you build muscle, which helps to burn calories and boost metabolism. 30DS is a great intro into Jillian Michaels. It's only 25 mins with warm up and cool down. So I'd say try to do it at least 3 times a week. It has cardio benefits, so you could cut your…

They have a lot of great stuff in their 365 Organic line. Whatever you buy, get organic! That's the one thing I love about Whole Foods, they have so many organic options compared to anywhere else.

Do yourself a favor, and don't count coffee or caffeine drinks (and also, don't count those drinks with artificial sweetners and junk). Drinking the extra water on top of your other beverages will only help you.
