I've seen Primer. That movie is effed up! I watched it twice back to back and then couldn't sleep trying to figure it out... that was a couple years ago, I should rent it again. I thought of another gooder - Memento! After dozens of viewings I still pick up something new every time. Not to mention Guy Pearce is pretty nice…

My husband and all his male co-workers are doing the Movember thing. I totally forgot about it until he walked out of the bathroom Monday morning clean-shaven... and he looks 17-freaking-years-old!!! He's always had a goatee. I MISS HIS FACIAL HAIR. He teases me now that I've robbed the cradle... haha!

I caught The Mist on Space a while back... definitely one of the most disturbing endings I've seen. Felt a little physically ill actually. I should have added Monty Python and the Holy Grail to my list... how could I have omitted that one???

No one's mentioned The Princess Bride yet??? I'm surprised! I've seen it literally hundreds of times since I was a kid. Got it memorized. I also love What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Wedding Singer, Life Is Beautiful, and Kill Bill 1 & 2.

Sorry Stewie, I re-read your original post a few more times and I misunderstood you. My bad! You're right, in both scenarios the calorie deficit is the same. I'll just shut up and go stand in the corner now.

Stewie, I think your math is off, which would explain your confusion. If your daily cals are set at 1200, and you burn 400 exercising, that leaves you with 800 cals for the day. So MFP will add those 400 to your goal so that you don't slip under the 1200. In Scenario 2, if your BMR is 2000, and you don't exercise, but you…

I looooooove Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives too!! As much as I would love to eat food like that, all I have to do is take good hard looks at Guy Fieri's physique and be reminded why he looks the way he does

I wholeheartedly endorse this suggestion. It's 15 minutes of hell, but doing it regularly will give results!

Yep! After continually losing a pound a week for 12 weeks, I gained some back in the last month... but I keep dropping inches. I'm learning to become less reliant on the scale and instead go by measurements.

Ohhhh good one! I love me some Maiden. Finding songs with lyrics that inspire you are always great too. Whether they're uplifting or push you to dig deeper and get through your workout... even if you have to take them out of context to serve your purpose! A couple of my faves: Leeches by In Flames - "It burns, it…

^^ Or "Run To The Hills": Run foooorrrr your liiiiiiiiiiiiife!!!!!

THIS. I've also got Muse, In Flames, Extol, The Mars Volta and lots of Dream Theater. My rule of thumb: I pick songs I like to sing along to, and once it becomes too hard because I'm huffing and puffing, then I know I'm working hard enough. Also, in the middle of my playlist I've got a bunch of songs I like to air-drum to…

Before you start the program, you should do the fit test that's in the P90X fitness guide. It states minimum requirements for each exercise - if you can't do the minimums, doing the program is not recommended. You risk injury to yourself otherwise.

We're in the same boat. I usually wait until all the kids are in bed for the night, or do it mid-afternoon when my youngest naps and distract the other two with a movie. I've explained to them that I'm going downstairs to exercise, and that I will be busy for one hour and not to ask me for anything and to BEHAVE.

Yes and yes.

I weigh myself and take measurements every two weeks, along with a fit test. It helps me not to obsess too much about numbers. Plus, it's much more satisfying to step on the scale and see I've dropped a pound as opposed to 0.1 or 0.2 every day!

Ugh, my husband can do that too - eat until he's blue in the face and not gain an ounce! Sooooo frustrating. I'm a mom too, my youngest is almost 1. Feel free to add me if you want.
