  • Also, if you download the Map My Run app to Gear & your phone, you can add friends there.
  • UA released an update supposedly to fix the gps issue on MMR. I haven't used it yet, but I hope it does as I much prefer the Map My Run app in the gym.
  • Right now the Map My Run app for Gear is having issues with gps, so I'm not using it for cardio, BUT it continuously measures heart rate when you use it in "gym workout" mode & has proven to be quite accurate for me. Hth
  • Yes, it's working fine for me @TomHayward78. At this time you have to use S Health to transfer exercise, & yes it has to be manually synced. The MFP app for Samsung Gear is pretty useless right now. I hope that changes soon. The only glitch I've seen is it wants to double record steps from my phone over steps from my gear.…
  • AND I adore my Gear Fit 2! I was at a total standstill until I got it! I've lost 15 lbs and a pants size since Christmas.
  • You have to be in someone's phone contacts to be added as a friend in S Health. A pain, I know! Maybe Samsung will fix this soon as Gear and Gear Fit become more popular. Until then, if you don't mind giving out your number, that's how it's done. Obviously, I would recommend private message.
  • Yes!I believe it's counting phone steps too, even though I have them turned off in S Health. When I contacted MFP, they said to disconnect S Health, force stop both apps, wait 15 minutes then reconnect S Health and be sure to choose it as your step counter again. I'm in process of doing this as I type! HTH
  • I'm not sure what to tell you that may help. I use Map My Run on my Gear Fit 2 to log everything but steps & have my exercise data permissions turned off in S Health & everything shows up fine. MFP bases it's adjustments of Samsung's 24 hour estimate vs their own. I haven't had a Fitbit to compare calories burn, but I did…
  • Have you turned on data permissions in S Health?
  • You are welcome to add me if you don't mind having each other's phone numbers. You can only add directly from contact numbers in S Health right now. I'm not sure if steps, ETC... show up to friends in MFP.
  • @br24ad If you have updated both apps, it should be at the very bottom of the list on MFP, and you'll have to turn on permissions in S Health as well. Hth
  • lenamarl_ ... feel free to add me. I've had a,Shine for a while, but I need some motivation, competition... something! Lol!
