  • I have actually been the exact opposite. I cannot get enough water and am thirsty all the time. I am having problems in the morning with being really swollen all of the sudden (past four days). My hands are swollen and I cannot get my rings off until I am up awhile. I can even see creases all over (including my face) from…
  • I completely agree. I didn't have a c-section but I also had my children stay in the nursery at night. If they are hungry they will eat. I fed my kids with both methods (back and forth) and have never had any problems with breast feeding whatsoever with any of them.
  • I am a stay at home mom and have had one all along. My first purchase was not right for me, it was a manual and only one pump. Way too time consuming. My second has lasted me a long time and will be on its third baby! I have a Medela Pump In Style Advanced Backpack and it is awesome. It has two pumps (so you can pump both…
  • I have only seen one uncircumsised and it was that of my German boyfriend at the time (exchange student). Never have I seen one like that before or since.
  • I completely agree. We had our son circumsised as well and will be doing so with this little guy. My husband is too and really feel it should be up to them to make the decision. They know what it is like to be in a locker room with a bunch of guys . . . My son had no issues and it was over so quickly. Seriously no man…
  • We have an HE as well. I do use HE soap but still use much less than the label say to.
  • I cannot say I have ever gotten tired of feeling the movement and actually enjoy every minute of it. And if you are like me, when they are born you will miss it.
  • Oh I love the snow too and we tend to get lots! We are right outside of Chicago and the kids are on their second snow day. We got about 23 inches of snow and it is beautiful. I am just happy I am not closer to my due date because then I might be a bit nervous about getting to the hospital. However, I am sure we would be…
  • I second this statement.
  • Could be from the fact that you are vomiting so much and using different muscles. Backaches are common even during early pregnancy. Backache Right from the word go, you may get backaches low down. This is caused by a hormone called relaxin, which loosens all your joints to allow a baby to pass through your pelvis. It can…
  • Just had to throw this out there. GO BEARS!!! I am not very confident today but I am hoping they pull off a big win! I have so many Chicago Bears shirts that I made sure I found one that still fits to root on my team! I was upset to see GB win last night because if the Bears move on that is who they will be playing next.…
  • It is sad that the government has taken that choice away for the parents and they feel they need to protect us from ourselves. Honestly your children can get hurt using anything and accidents do happen. One of my favorite lines is from a country song: "don't outsmart your common sense."
  • Ah that's great! You gave me a great morning laugh!
  • Every pregnancy I have had caffeine including this one. I drink a cup or two cups of coffee every morning and usually a coke in the afternoon. I have never had any problems whatsoever. All of my babies have been born right at or past due dates and good size babies (last one 9lbs 4ozs). My blood pressure is always fine and…
  • I cannot believe I had no idea those have been recalled. I have been using the same crib with all of my kids and it has the drop down side. My two year old is in it currently and I have never had a problem with the side coming down. Where have I been? Geez.
  • Absolutely it could have been your LO! My little guy doesn't like when I sleep on my left side too much. He is constantly moving when I do.
  • Time has sure gone by fast hasn't it? I have been stocking up with diapers for a little while now. They go through so many in the early months! Diapers.com had a nice discount going on at the end of the year. 30% cash back on all diaper purchases (cash back was put as a credit to your account for a future purchase). I…
  • My oldest daughter's name is name is Eden and I have loved it from day one.
  • I like the name Arabella and it's meaning is also beautiful. I think we have a name chosen for our son. However, it has changed in the last two weeks. Never quite sure until they are here anyway. Our two year old is named after his great grandfather (who has passed on) and my brother so his first name is Charles. But we…
  • That is good to hear. I feel very fortunate to have the OB that I do. He is a single practice doctor so he is what you get (unless he is on vacation which of course he lets you know about ahead of time). I love my OB and he has always been there to deliver my babies (except for my second who decided to come early and he…
  • Yeah I find that show a little ridiculous. I was actually thinking about it last night when I got up for a bathroom break. At 26 weeks I feel huge and cannot imagine anyone not knowing they were pregnant. Plus this kid is all over the place!
  • You may be comfortable later on to travel. I traveled to our summer home in Minnesota (12 hour drive) when I had only 6 weeks left until my due date with my third child.
  • I agree, I always thought showers were (and should be) just for the first baby. My friends wanted to throw me a shower for my third since he was a boy (my first two are girls) but I said "no thank you." One of my good friends who had her third baby in October was also given a surprise shower. Had to be a surprise,…
  • Great job! Currently I am at 3145 calories burned for the month so I have 4855 left to go. I am hoping to burn more than the 8000 calories. I need to step it up because my nightly routine of a chocolate shake and a cup of hot chocolate (with two packets of powder) is catching up to me. 4 days and a 1/2 gallon of ice cream…
  • Don't get me wrong I have the best MIL in the world and mom in the world. I actually considered having my MIL in the room but that went out the window when my contractions started. I wanted no one but my husband.
  • Just got caught up on some of the posts. No one but my husband and nurses in the room with me during delivery. My mom never wanted to be there which is fine and I don't know that I will want to be in the room with my daughter when/if they give birth. If they really wanted me there, most likely I would be for them. My MIL…
  • I live right outside of Chicago and we have had one snow day here so far. Seems like they "hand them out" a little more freely now than when I was a kid.
  • Thank you for the ideas. Hopefully your household is all better soon as well. Sorry to hear about your calf :( I love animals. Any news on the farm you were wanting to purchase (I thought you had mentioned that awhile back maybe I am crazy)? How many animals do you have?
  • Looks like we are in the process of starting another round of the stomach flu here since Thanksgiving. My 6 year old came home from school sick yesterday. She has a very high fever that I am having trouble breaking and started vomiting last night and cannot keep anything down. I was giving her Children's Motrin but need to…
  • This is #4 for me and this time around I didn't show any sooner. I was still in my regular low rise jeans at week 23 and finally decided to switch to my maternity pants because they felt tight when sitting. This pregnancy was much different for me in the fact that I actually exercised. So, for me that was the difference.…
