MMA is great. I teach Krav Maga, but I work with a lot of MMA heads. Great total body workout. You should definitely do it. Any martial arts style is awesome to learn for fitness and self protection.

The funny thing about steroids, YOU HAVE TO STILL WORK OUT FOR THEM TO WORK! They are not magic beans that make you grow muscles in your sleep. They allow your body to work harder and recover faster to build muscles. I would never use them but I dont begrudge those who do. They know better than I do.

I think before you try any calorie shifting or other unorthodox dieting methods, you should focus on establishing a sound regular eating regimen and log your food for at least 2 weeks while exercising regularly. You need to have an established baseline of how your body burns calories before you try different methods.

Why wouldn't you want to exercise? Exercise helps the body have a higher metabolism to fight off the post diet weight gain which will absolutely happen if you just diet down. Talk about bad days. I ate a half a cake one weekend. OK FINE IT WAS LAST WEEKEND!! SUE ME!!! (whew) glad to get that off my chest. Anyway, I bounced back on Monday and killed it during my workouts. All a set back really is, is room to get a running start back on track. Dont fret, go sweat!!!
