Correct! It can be done, but neither would be very efficient. We are catabolic when losing fat and anabolic whilst building muscle, and the muscle mass would build from the small calorie deficit.... you would have to be pretty fanatic about diet and timing of exercise to accomplish results.

Are you calculating your exercise calories into your TDEE? I have my TDEE set to sedentary (which really isn't that sedentary), then I add my exercise cals after that. Example. My TDEE 1995 - 500 cals for 1 pound a week weight loss = 1495 ...this is my daily amount with no exercise and on a basic day of 8 - 10,000 steps.…

Eat foods that are more dense in calories....avocado, peanut butter etc. If you work out 3 times a week, I wonder if spreading the extra cals thru the week would hurt? Anyone know?

It's pretty simple. On a daily basis you eat what your TDEE is in calories. To reduce weight, deduct 500 cals from your daily amount as per your TDEE. It takes 3500 deficit cals to burn 1 pound which is healthy and realistic to burn body fat and not muscle! You must eat back your exercise calories to avoid burning lean…

I quit cold turkey 7 years ago ...it took around 2 years for the cravings to fully diminish ...just stick with it...don't give in, even on the darkest days..you can do it!

Sounds to me like your body may have been in starvation mode while you were losing weight? I am no expert, but I did a ketotonic diet and lost 101 pounds in 7 mths with no hunger ...as soon as i quit the diet, the weight pounded back on ..as much as 15 pounds in 3 days.

Is it failing, or are you just growing? Marriage is all about team work and friendship....long after the initial spark ignites! It's ok to not see eye to eye ...you are two different people with two value systems ...the work starts with having to combine those and be intradependant of each other.

Maybe the word ashamed is what has you a little upset. Sometimes I say or do things that I shouldn't do ...my hubby gives me a reality check and vice versa. I like to look at it as balancing each other...maybe he didn't choose his words carefully... you could always ask him when the mood is good?

me too! Even at my slimmest size 7 I still had big calves (I was an athlete). I am stuck with ankle boots too! Can't even wear a pair of funky rubber boots !!!

We have to show our weight in Canada too ...it's because your drivers licence is a valid form of ID ....a subtle big brother ....I was a size 7 when I last recorded my weight on my licence almost 5 yrs ago ...I am no pushing a size 18 ...guess they will NEVER figure it out if I get stopped LMAO

have this trouble too ...I read (a few years back) that we require an extra 50g of complex carb per day in the 3 or 4 days leading up to Not sure this would stop the all day craving for sugary or chocolatey goodies!!!
