I get it. I am a mom of 3. My youngest is 11 months. I've lost some of the weight, but it's difficult to make it work. I have somewhere between 30-50 to lose now. And demanding babies are the hardest thing I've ever experienced in my life. Its hard when you have a baby screaming, and you're trying to stick to a plan or a…

Ditto- but you look great. Easy 10

I once read a blog where a runner wrote that you don't have to run non-stop to be a runner. If you can run intervals, let that be fine. Forget speed, just add time gradually- which will increase distance. If you get stuck at week 5 of c25k, repeat week 5, but add more intervals.

I love, love, LOVE your story, because it's not just about losing weight, but becoming strong and powerful. This felt like I was reading from personal experience. How beautiful your achievements have been!

I think everyone has shared a lot of great advice, but one thing you have to consider is that each person's journey is individual. You'll only change through positive encouragement and finding your own personal motivations. You could start by figuring out why you keep eating fast food even though you don't want to. Are you…

Add me too! I'm 10 weeks along and agree that health is the number one priority. If I can spare gaining another 50 pounds like I did with my daughter that would be great too, but what's most important is that I give my baby everything he/she needs to grow and mature while in my womb.

Wow! That is jaw dropping. I love how happy you look in your after pictures! Congrats

This almost made me cry. You are a strong, beautiful, and resilient woman. Your life story speaks volumes to your character. Congrats and good luck on your continued success.

Started at 270 lbs doing couch to 5k every other day. Got a gym membership at 249 and added spin classes and weight training with free weights. I've eaten upwards of 1800 calories consistently per day, and work out 6 days per week between weight training and varying forms of cardio. I'm at 185.5 lbs now and shooting for…

Wow! I love everything about this post. It was very awkward for me to give people a number at first, especially considering I had more to loose. I don't have a problem displaying it online, but saying it aloud feels like I'm shaming the fatter me, and trust me, she's just as awesome as the me I am today, she just didn't…

It's good to get in carbs an hour or so before your workout, and protein + complex carbs within 30-90 mins of finishing. The carbs first give your body energy so that you can maximize performance, meaning you'll get better results. The protein and carbs afterwards help your muscles repair and maximize gains (or fat…

I'm speachless. Just the meaning of your name is awesome. You are truly extraordinary and I'm so glad we stumbled upon each other here. You're a great writer, but you're a greater do-er, and by that I mean you never just say things, you prove them. You have a keen sense of audacity and courage and outstanding dedication. I…

That's a bad Bish right there! with all 5 pictures! LMAO

I've lost 80 lbs in the last year eating above my BMR and below my TDEE - for me that means 1700-1900 calories per day (and lots of times I've eaten much more than that).

Add this woman!

<---- This girl lifts heavy and I know for a fact she's DAMN FINE! (No she's not me, but I'll look like her in due time. That's a promise).
-
You are so right, a little progress has gotten you far! Big difference in pics. Kepp trucking along sweets, I started at 270 (285 before MFP), and that positive attitude has carried me far. Exactly what Bronx said!!

mmikayla37- smart, cute, shy

You've done a terrific job! Get it girl!

I have the same problem. But I just refuse to believe that it can't be fixed through diet and exercise. Lifting heavy will make a big difference, but I am thoroughly convinced that the KINDS of foods you're eating play a big role. I'm a sucker for sweets. I'm willing to bet that a majority of the women on the page who have…

Holy Moly you've done an excellent job!

Absolutely LOVE the convo you had with your daughter!

I eat atleast 1700 (usually more) everyday and have lost 75 lbs since being here. I agree with the above user, this way of doing things is more about lifestyle. It's slower and sometimes inconsistent (most months I loose 10 lbs, some months I just maintain), but I'm also toning and building muscle so I don't know if the…

I was looking at workout pants the other day and they were labelled at size M. The tag also had sizing in other countries and most read a L or XL. That blew my mind. We are getting ridiculous with vanity sizing here in the US. Don't quote me on this, but I believe the tag even said XXL for Japan. When an M here is…

I work full time and am a single mother to a two year old. My gym offers child care, but trying to get home and prepare dinner, then make it the gym before child care closes can be challenging. Sometimes it makes me feel bad to drop her off, leave for work for 9+ hours, pick her up, and then drop her right back off to…

Everything she said! Trust me, this girl knows what she's talking about!

There's a reason we are friends on here... because I freaking LOVE you! Great post, great perspective, great advice! I'll meet you at the overweight category :)
