Don't panic. If you're keeping good track of intake and exercise, and you're operating at a deficit as outlined by MFP, the weight will fall off. It just takes time. Ignore the scale for a few weeks. Don't be tempted by its shiny spinning dial. Get out a tape measure to keep track of your measurements instead. Look at your…

Lunch should be your "big" meal of the day. Eat light at dinner and snack time, no matter the time of day/evening. "Don't eat before bed" is myth. Probably from the same people who sell the grapefruit diet. It is important to eat something every 2-4 hours. Studies have shown that this keeps your metabolism up and helps you…

Without any reservations, it was the best money I've ever spent in my life. I had Lasix done about 12 years ago. My vision was fixed to about 15/20 (better than average 20/20) and I had no issues or complications. Good luck!

Even if no one notices, you still lost 20 pounds! :) It's hard to notice sometimes when the weight loss is gradual. It will be come more apparent when you put on smaller clothes. Keep up the good work! :)

EVERYONE has to build up their endurance. Set reasonable goals. Advance slowly. Stick to it. You'll do great. :)

I pretty much waited until my clothes looked silly. Of course my friends had to tell me that I looked ridiculous.

Don't be discouraged! This process should be on a slow and steady track. Don't weigh yourself every week. Weigh monthly for a while. Your weight is going to vary depending on your bladder/bowel contents, hydration status, menstrual cycle, etc. If you're meticulous with your tracking on MFP you are going to lose weight.…

Shot shot shot shot... (assuming that there is room for it on my diary :)

Most importantly, you need to have a doctor that you trust. You've lost trust in this doctor so it's time to move on.

Thanks for the insightful observation and perhaps, some of the best advice I've read here.

Yum. I saved this for later! Thanks :)

The way I do it... Click "EXERCISE" at the top of the page. Search the database, but there are no P90X in there. When it returns no match, click the link at the bottom of the page that says, "Add an exercise to the database". I enter full title for each of the titles, ie. P90X Legs & Back. I put strength with strength (ie.…

Recent co-worker comment: "You're getting too skinny." Jealous bit*hes.

I'm salivating so bad I couldn't carry on a conversation. Aaaaaaaaarg.

Eggs probably get a bum wrap. But I still try to limit my consumption of whole eggs. Lately, I've been mixing one whole egg and the equivalent amount of three egg whites to make scrambles or omelets. You can buy egg whites in a carton in the grocery next to regular eggs. Tastes the same, still has great protein and is very…

Ignore the scale. Your weight can fluctuate hugely on a day to day basis. It's related to hydration, bowel contents, a full bladder, menstruation cycle, etc. You're not in this for the day to day variations, but for the long haul. Stick with your plan. Eat well, exercise, drink plenty of water and enjoy the benefits of…

I am more successful on a day to day basis if I *DO* snack. But my snacks are small and nutritionally beneficial, generally with a high protein content. This prevents me from getting really hungry where I would otherwise have a tendency to pig out. In any case, I try to stick to my macros and not exceed my calories for the…

Don't kid yourself. This isn't easy for anyone. Dig deep. You can do it too.

You've really got to treat your weight loss as a math problem. If you're not burning more calories than you're consuming then you won't lose weight. Ever. Make sure your settings are correct in MFP. If you're sedentary, then you need to check that box. Treat food tracking as science. Measure out your portions. Buy a scale…

Seven days/weekP90X: 6 days/week. Each day is a different routine. 60-90 minutes. Plus everyday I HIIT/run (outdoors or treadmill) for 30-60 minutes. Day 7, I don't do resistance, but will run a little longer/harder.
-
I would not make this a habit. I have to admit, however, that now and then I will let myself go over just a little knowing that I was well under the day before.

I have been shaving my head for the last 15 years or so. It's quick and painless. And, it sure beats fiddling with those few hairs I have left around the back and sides.
