  • I just finished 13 weeks of Turbo Fire and I loved it! Many of my friends have purchased it from seeing my results and they love it as well. You seriously cannot go wrong. It is hard work, motivating, fun and burns mega calories.
  • You really have to give it time. It takes a while sometimes to start losing regularly. Are you drinking plenty of water? There are so many reasons why the number on the scale won't budge but you are actually getting smaller. My advice? Take measurements. Keep going. It will start falling off. I promise you that! I had…
  • Does he allow you to go swimming or to the beach? Even though it makes me a little nauseous to say "allow". I don't get the difference? What about if he takes them and you just do a side by side comparison for yourself?
  • Well I will have to get a new wardrobe. I barely have anything that fits me now and I still have 20 pounds to go. But, my husband promised me a cruise.
  • How long have you been at it? What are your stats aka height/weight? Just at a glance it appears that you are not eating enough. I didn't peek at your exercise diary, what exercises are you doing?
  • Do not look at what other people's goals are. You can take 5 different people at the exact same height and weight and they will all look completely different. Go by what YOU look and feel like. I am 5'7 and currently 168 pounds. My goal is 150. Seven years ago I was 145 and wearing a size 4. But, I see many ladies that…
  • I would never be concerned by too much fiber or protein. Those are two that I never worry about. As long as you are sticking to your calories you are fine. MFP does give a much lower fiber standard. You should have a minimum of 25 grams per day but if it goes above that is completely fine.
  • How about just jump to week 5 where they start doing resistance training? I am about to start week 14 of Turbo Fire and I can say that I have way more muscle than I did 13 weeks ago. I have lost a total of 25 inches (since my last measurement a few weeks ago) and almost 30 pounds. I cannot imagine that TF would make you…
  • I'm from Michigan too. I used to live in Kalamazoo but moved to Brighton (Livingston County) over the summer. Love it over here!
  • Great job! You've had amazing results and should be extremely proud of yourself. :flowerforyou:
  • I am overwhelmed by the responses and friend requests that I have received. You all make me blush reading the comments! Thank you so much. This specific board has given me tremendous motivation over the course of 3 months. Seeing other people having such great success really keeps me going. I am so happy that I can give…
  • Thank you! I have the Version 3 Bodybugg. At first I thought it would bother me not knowing my burns until I plug it in. But, it's really quick to do and I'm pretty good at knowing my burns now since I've been wearing it for a while. Turbo Fire is a Beachbody product created by Chalene Johnson. It is a mixture of…
  • I count all my calories on the MFP website. I use the Apex website for tracking my calorie burns but I don't log my food over there. I found that their food database isn't nearly as extensive as the one here. I also don't think it is as user friendly. I try to keep my daily deficit between 800-1000 calories. With my body…
  • Thank you! I love my Body Bugg. It's an amazing little device. I really do feel it has helped me because it's all about calories in and calories out. I can keep an accurate track of how many calories I consume but you never really know how many you burn during the day. I love how at the end of the day all I have to do is…
  • I heard that it makes the food taste disgusting so you don't want to eat it. I don't know how true this is but I thought it was funny. No one can eat what they show on the infomercial and lose weight. Well...maybe they could if they were only eating small bites all day. But, they certainly wouldn't be healthy and…
  • My official weigh in is always first thing in the morning. I do weigh myself after I exercise and I am always 1-2 pounds less. I don't drink much water when I work out because I do Turbo Fire and I there's too much jumping around to have a belly full of water.
  • I cannot stress enough the importance of taking measurements. If you are replacing muscle with fat who cares what scale says? How do your clothes feel? How do YOU feel? There are many more important factors of getting healthy. Try not to become a victim of the scale. You have to get it in your mind that the number on that…
  • I don't believe in gaining weight when you quit smoking. Weight gain is from eating more calories than you are burning. Certain medications and/or medical issues can cause weight gain but other than that you are simply eating too much. Do you strictly track your calories? Exercise alone will usually not make you lose…
  • Yep, definitely could be a clothing difference. Also, you need to try to weigh at the same time every single day. Preferably first thing in the morning. Your weight can fluctuate 3-4 lbs during the day from eating and drinking. That coupled with different attire and just plain difference in scales could make up that 7 lb.…
  • I have a BodyBugg and I notice that MFP over-estimates by usually at least 100 calories. It depends on what exercises I am doing. It is more with some and closer accuracy with others. If you are eating back your exercise calories and are unsure of the calories burned accuracy, I would only eat back 1/2 the calories and go…
  • I start losing in my upper body first. I dropped 2 shirt sizes and was still in the same jeans. I think you tend to lose more where you carry your weight. I carry mine in my upper body. It took me over 20 pounds to drop a jeans size.
  • I am so glad to see someone else say this! I have a cup of coffee for breakfast. If I eat I feel like I'm starving all day long. I don't eat anything until I finish my workout at 2:00. Everyone is on my back about not eating breakfast but I know what works for me.
  • I had mine taken out 2 years ago, the week before Christmas. I was in the hospital for 5 days before they removed it because it was so inflamed. Awful. I lost 10 lbs. in those 5 days though! You'll do great. Just remember that losing weight is all about a calorie deficit so you can do it without exercise! Heal up…
  • What are you doing for exercise? Your daily burns seem really high. I do Turbo Fire every day and only burn 1/3 of what you burn on a 60 minute video. Perhaps you are miscalculating your burn and in turn eating too many calories?
  • I have a Bodybugg and I have worn it every single day for 8 weeks now. I love it and cannot say enough great things about it. 24 Hour Fitness often has great deals. When I purchased mine I got it for $99, free shipping and it included 12 months of the online subscription. About 2 weeks after I started wearing it my medium…
  • First off, I'm sorry that he is hurting your feelings. It can make it hard to work on yourself when you are dealing with other issues in your life or marriage. After reading your post and then your update about him doing nice things for you I really don't think he is a bad guy. It just is what it is. He was having a rough…
  • Me!! I was in the Marine Corps from 1996-2004. I was medically discharged after I had back surgery. That is when I slowly started to gain weight. I have about 12 lbs. to go to get to the weight I was when I got out. I hope to get lower than that though. One thing I can say is that I am so glad I haven't lost much muscle…
  • This! It depends on where you carry your weight. I always gain weight in my upper body the most. I lost 20 lbs. and have went from a large/XL to a medium top and went down 2 band sizes and one cup size in my bras. My jeans are looser but I am still able to wear the same ones. I recommend that you take measurements and go…

  • I am so glad to see someone say this! I HATE Fire 45 EZ too! It is awful. I feel the same way, that it's hard to keep up and the moves are not seamless at all. I dread so much when I see it on the schedule. I love Fire 60. It is by far my favorite.
  • I am on Week 9 of Turbo Fire. I love it. It does take some time to get down the moves but a lot of the moves are used over and over in the different videos so you aren't trying to learn new moves all the time. It's fast paced and really fun. I do recommend getting good cross training shoes though. I also have ChaLean…
