  • What I did was added it one day a week. Then eventually 2 days and so forth. I thought just get though today and tomorrow you can do level 1 again. Plus after doing Jillian DVDs for several years, I have learned you can always make them harder. If you cont. to do level 1, just increase your weights. I also started wearing…

  • WAY TO GO!!! I am also in that last 10 lbs. Found this article, it may or may not have something that can help you. http://www.formerfatguy.com/articles/weight-loss/10-pounds-to-lose.asp
  • Definitely go! A slow leisurely walk is an excellent recovery. I love to walk at our state park. Very therapeutic!
  • 1 cup cheerios 1/2 skim milk I sprinkle this with blueberries, strawberries, a little banana and a few almonds. About 325 calories. leave off the bananas and probably about 275, but I like the bananas and the almonds give it a little crunch.
  • Hearing all this rolling stuff reminds me. My daughter says that her gym teacher swears that "walking" across the floor on your bottom helps eliminate cellulite. I never paid much attention, but maybe there is something to it.
  • Ultimate moisturizer: Vitamin E oil!!! Not trying to sound vain here, but I am 48 years old and have been mistaken for early 30's I have people tell me all the time I have excellent skin and I do not look anywhere near my age. I attribute this to 2 things: eating healthy and vitamin E oil. Word of warning: IT WILL STAIN…
  • I enjoy it. I raised a house full of youngans and cooked huge meals for years. I stayed home and cleaned and cook. We were always broke and never went out to eat. I am now remarried most of my children are out of the house or pretty independent and my new husband loves to take me out to eat! I love been waited on every now…
  • That is an awesome idea!
  • Sorry was thinking more along the lines of sit down restaurants. Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesdays, Applebee's, etc.
  • I got down to 120 lbs (fairly muscular build) and still had it on my thighs. However, it doesn't bother me near as much in the 120's as it did in the 170's. Almost everyone has it. It may very well never go away, but it will get better. And I have just learned to accept it.

  • I did this also. It makes a world of difference!
  • Didn't read all replies so don't know if someone suggested this. Zigzagging calories. (or staggering, alternating etc...). This really helped me and it makes sense. I was a Biology major in college and I know that our body is always striving for balance. When we eat the same number of calories everyday our body can adjust…
  • The only information I have been able to find (and I am still looking) is that if you weigh 150lbs you will burn 167 calories in 20 minutes. Still looking for more info, I am assuming that is Level 1. Seems levels 2 and 3 would burn more. Or maybe it's an average. I just don't know. But wanted to give you what I have. I am…

  • I am 48 have 10 children (only 4 at home now) and I have gone from 180 to as low as 120 and NEVER paid a penny for a gym. I did originally invest in a quality rebounder. NOT the cheap ones from Wal-Mart. I LOVED IT. I have since started using DVDs from Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper. And I also love them. 30 day Shred is…
  • i put almond slithers on my fruit and veggie salads. They add a little crunch and are very good for you. And putting some slithers on things like salads, cereals and yogurts are a good way to eat them in moderation.
  • Diet soda is BAD for you. But I still drink it (embarrassed face). I am a pretty healthy eater, but Coke Zero is my weakness and it actually helps me stick to my diet at times. I have gone off of it for a while but then always decide to have that ONE. Which of course turns into more. Anyway, you really shouldn't drink…
  • I am 5'3". I am also 48 years old and after the birth of my last child I weighed 180. I lost about 12 lbs over the next 4 years, but got really serious about 5 years ago. I weighed 168 and decided to go on a chocolate fast. I had NO chocolate for over 3 years which was a BIG DEAL to me. That got me started. I started…
