Goal weight is 120. I got down to 117 a few years ago and really I should have just stopped at 8st8.

If the Terms of Service say something different to the information given to you before entering into the contract, the Terms of Service are rendered invalid. No I did not read the fine print. No reasonable person does, especially when the website so clearly stated something else on the ACTUAL sign up page. Again, I cited…

I have done Body Revolution many times over, and I am huge, huge fan of her podcast - the problem is not with Jillian from my perspective at least! :)

But I, (the OP) didn't sign up for a free trial. The disclaimer that greeted me was entirely different, and said I could cancel and get unused funds back at any time, which was not true. It's not a scam, I wouldn't go as far as that, but there needs to be transparency, correct and corresponding information on all pages of…

Hummous and bananas. I can now eat both until the cows come home.

http://subtractionproject.tumblr.com I follow back if you are a fitness tumblr, also!

I'm 5'3" and I eat 1300 to lose about half a pound a week. Any lower than that, I get hungry. I'd say, if you're looking to maintain, 1300 is far too low, but to lose, it's perfect. For me anyway.

I'm in the UK and I have a OneBody HRM that I got for £20 from Tesco. For a relatively cheap HRM, it does a really brilliant job of tracking heart rate and calorie burn. You can program it with all your information, set workout zones and it also estimated fat burn as well. It comes with a chest strap for accuracy and…

I think 129 sounds perfect, I can see it.

If anyone is interested in weight loss ramblings and much chatter about Jillian Michaels, add me on tumblr at http://subtractionproject.tumblr.com - I follow back!

Hah, that's pretty hilarious. I suppose they are just there for context and eye candy as opposed to real life testimonial. Even the testimonials on the site are only 'based' on real life success stories. I imagine it's too much like hard work to get a group of people to do the workouts and track them over 90 days and then…

It looks to me like you're pretty small already and only have under 10lbs to lose? Could be that you happened to weigh yourself on an 'off day', which often happens to me - ie, you haven't had a bowel movement, you could be bloated, excess water. If you only have a smaller amount to lose, progress over 4 weeks is only…

I have never had a gym membership - it's so much easier to workout to a DVD in my living room with a pair of handweights.

It's vile. Sometimes I even catch myself thinking, AM I humourless? Everyone seems to think this is really, really hilarious... But then I realise I'm not an idiot.

I'd say at 200lbs you should be okay eating 1200 calories a day completely safely. If you are certain of your exercise calories burned, by a HRM and NOT by the machines at the gym or by MFP database, then by all means eat them back. But if you don't have a HRM, only eat back a certain percentage back. Just to be on the…

It's probably because you hadn't had a bowel movement or something similar. It is entirely possible, you're doing so well - I know you feel you need the scale to motivate you, but it's just shown you that it's unreliable and UN-motivational. Don't cling to it so much and keep doing what you're doing. Pick a weigh day,…

It seems like you have your exercise all in hand, but most of the work when it comes to weight loss, is taking control of your food intake. Turn 'generally within calories' to, 'always within calories' during the week, and allow yourself no more than a 300 calorie splurge at the weekend on top of your regular meals. Make…

Exactly.

It really depends on how heavy you are to begin with. It's taken me three months to lose 16 lbs, but my starting weight was only 138lbs. As for exercise, it's easier than you think to get it in. I can't go to the gym either, I can't afford it. So I run outdoors, I downloaded some exercise videos which I do once a day. It…

Use an online calculator to workout your TDEE, and then aim to eat at it, or at the most, 10% under it. Make sure you're getting lots of protein - try and stick to the 30% carbs 30% fat 40% protein way of eating - you can track this on MFP by changing your goals. Strength training is really important for building muscle.…

Well, helping to get rid of and pinpointing are surely the same thing? People store fat in particular places, and losing weight will help get rid of the fat. That's all 'love handles' are. Hips and thighs are notoriously a pain to get rid of weight from, if you are a lady who is that way inclined, but I promise, it does…
-
Unfortunately, you can't pin point an area to 'get rid of' in a purposeful way. Where you lose your inches and in what order is defined by genetics, and where you carry most of your weight. I lost mine by waiting it out and counting calories, unfortunately. You can 'tighten' the area after weight has been lost by working…

I second the low calorie bread option. I often buy the Weight Watchers Malted Danish kind. It's kinda insubstantial in comparison to a big thick, unhealthy loaf, haha, but it's amazing how cutting some of the calories of the bread can help. Stock up on things like tomatoes, celery, low cal hummus and make yourself a…

Ooh, what an interesting post! I always make sure to have: - Cherry/mini plum tomatoes - Almond milk - Mozzarella - Caramel rice cakes - Onions! In particular spring onions - Bags of prepared salad leaves - A good pack of frying steak

Yeah, I am firm believer in workouts for free, which is why I don't bother shelling out for a gym membership. The only reason I signed up was because of that little line in the disclaimer, which then mysteriously disappeared. I am not adverse to paying £3 to have a nosy about, but £34 is pushing it. Luckily, I have just…

Personally, 'babe' sets my teeth on edge in general. 'Hun' I have less of a problem with. However! If it upsets you, or you view them as pet names that you have come to associate with yourself, then tell him that. He probably just is doing it out of habit (for example, I call men at work 'love' all the time, but it's pure…

You are correct that walking won't help you 'tone' but cardio is essential. A perfect balance of cardio and strength interval training is the way forward, in order to achieve maximum calorie burn. I think exercise videos are the way forward - I can't afford a gym membership myself, so half an hour a day in my own home is…

I tend to do the same - the 'munchies' creep in (no, not that kind) and I want to nibble on crap in front of the tv. The only thing that helps me is a shower, to slather myself in moisturiser (you can't eat chips when your hands are covered in Nivea hand cream) and an early night.
