I don't count cleaning either, and this is coming from someone who was a professional cleaner for an entire summer. If you don't log it, you get an extra mysterious little weight loss boost and you're not tempted to eat back 'exercise' calories. Just like I don't count walking to work as an exercise, just a part of life.

Call them up and ask them the serving sizes of the ingredients, then work it out yourself using the food database?
-
This, it really is quite simple. Try and jump right in and use MFP as a good tool to help you with logging, and engage with others on your News feed about what you're eating and your exercises. Also, I love my heart rate monitor - so helpful when working out calories burned during exercise - I would definitely invest in…

You look amazing! Such an achievement.

Yeah I can't afford to 'eat clean', as it were. I eat as my budget allows, and that necessarily includes some share of processed 'crap'. As long as I stick to my calorie goal and try to get in my greens along with my microwaveable lasagne, I'm good.

Certainly there's a problem in the feminist community with generalised comments about what 'men' do. I think the lesson here is that nobody should generalise at all. My issue is that I'm sick of being told I have no sense of humour, when the jokes I'm supposed to be rolling around in hysterics at, just suck. And being…

I read through all your posts. Your comments have been extremely patronising throughout the whole conversation.

Wow, you saw NOTHING offensive? I don't think anyone was laughing because it generally wasn't funny. I actually recall someone saying that instead of fighting for contraception, cis women should "close their legs". You don't think that shaming one group people for having sex for pleasure isn't just a little bit insulting?…
-
To the OP: I'm adding you! Sorry your thread got hijacked. Man, this whole thing was upsetting to read. I'm sorry everyone thinks feminism is a nasty word around here.

It allows you to eat more! Eating a deficit means you will lose weight - but exercising, building muscle and strength and giving you a few extra calories in a day is hugely, hugely helpful in a strict regime. I tend to only eat back half of my exercise calories, just in case I accidentally overestimated calorie burn. It…

Don't cut it out, cut it down. That's the golden rule for pretty much anything. Except maybe meth.

Aw, I love her! It can get repetitive though, so I understand the muting. Sometimes though, when I am facing away from the tv, or doing push ups, I need her voice to tell me when to switch or end the set.

I did the whole thing in about 34 days - I did the first two levels without a break, but allowed myself a few rest days during level 3. It's really a matter of personal preference - how much you can manage and what's comfortable for you. If you feel you need a day's break, it won't make any difference to your progress.
-
Why not drop to 1400 and see how that goes?
-
Once you get through the warm up, it will hurt less. I always found it a comfort when I was gearing up for my earlier workouts. Go big on your arm crosses and jumping jacks and it won't feel so sore during. By day 4, soreness should be gone, or it was for me. Good luck!

So brilliant, well done you :)

I wouldn't count it. I used to be a professional cleaner and I have never in my life worked as hard as I do when I run or even when I'm doing the 30DS. You're doing yourself a disservice by counting them as 'cardio'. Go for a half an hour walk and log that instead.

By managing to subsidise 'Latin' into an anecdotal quirky comment about semantics, yeah. Kinda racist.
-
This post has just highlighted that a whole lot of people on this forum are idiots/kinda racist (and I am referring to the 'when I get a tan I call myself Latin' logic lady in this)/body shamers and really, really misogynistic. That'll be me giving the forums a wide berth for a good while.

Aim for 1400-1500 a day. That will leave you with a 200-300 calorie deficit on the days you exercise and you should lose weight pretty steadily.

Semi skimmed milk - it has just the right balance of flavour between whole and skimmed.

I am 5'4 and 129lb. I am a UK 8-10 - or a US 4-6.

Look at how flat your stomach is! Very awesome, keep it up!

Low calorie jellies! You can get little pots of them - usually on offer in Tescos or the like so you can buy in bulk and they're under 10 calories a pot.

This, essentially.

I'm halfway through Week 8! It really is an amazing programme - I wouldn't be seeing half the results I am with my body without it.

The human body doesn't really work in 24hr time laws. It doesn't store food in allocated bins labelled, 'Last Nights Dinner', and you have to work all that off before it moves onto the next meal. It helps to think of your daily meals as adding up to a whole week's worth of calorie deficit. Exercising any time helps you to…

I eat it once every two or three months, and I love every bite. Haters gonna hate, McDonalds is delicious.

This debate really, really irritates me. I see "facts" about how terrible diet drinks are for you bandied around all the time on these forums, and they're all basically the same, 'Oh the chemicals! Won't somebody think of the chemicals!" type nonsense. Diet sodas have a very small amount of calories. They are pleasurable…

I have just completed Week 4! I haven't been using the App, as I don't have a compatible phone, but I just used a copy of the programme schedule from the internet, and made up my own iPod playlists to run to, using the times given. I really would recommend doing it. It's hard going at times, but it really does do a great…
