Out of curiosity, are you eating your workout calories? Or do you have a cheat meal once a week? I actually found eating a little more regularly or having a cheat meal helped break through one of my plateaus. Especially since you're working out so much and burning so much extra, your body might need a little extra food.…

I have friends who use it and I signed up, but haven't really been entering my workouts regularly. I think it's likely good for some motivation and challenges if that's what you're looking for. It has groups you can join depending on your goals and interests. And it gives you specific "challenges" to try to meet to get…

I definitely would NOT suggest doing this. HRMs are designed for when you're exercising and elevating your HR. If you want to measure calories burned during non-exercise activities you should look into things like the bodymedia fit, fitbit etc. But from what I've heard and read, those aren't the best for measuring calories…

In my opinion that sounds like a lot, mainly the extra cardio if you're already doing HIIT. But if you really want to do it, then try it out but make sure to listen to your body and eat enough to compensate for all of that exercise.

This might be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Right behind exercising will make you fat (because the author of the article couldn't stop his binge eating after cardio). It's people like this that make me fear for women who don't know enough to doubt this kind of stuff. Sigh.

I think I'm starting week 8 today (I'm also doing the iPhone app that's an 8 week program) so I'm on the home stretch! 28 min run today. I have never, ever been a runner. I don't particularly enjoy it either but I want to do a triathlon (on my bucket list) so the 5K portion is kind of key :) That being said, running really…

I do cardio 60 days a week, about 40 mins total with warmup and cooldown. I do elliptical Monday & Friday, run Tuesday & Thursday, Spin Wednesday, then Saturday I do a super-set (of sorts) of running and spinning. I strength train 3-4 days a week making sure to give each muscle group at least a day off in between.

I was reading about Jamie Eason's program and she mentions something on her website about doing cardio for extended periods of time can cause your body to start burning muscle as energy instead of fat. I think that's what the NROL author is refering to as far as it being counterproductive. That being said, I'm going to…

I know!! One day I updated my apps and it had completely changed. All the intervals are slightly different too, and I think it's an 8 vs 9 week program. Seems to work just as well so I'm not complaining. :)

Don't compare your speed to anyone else's! What's important is getting the time in (and not hurting yourself). You can always work on speed later.

Tomorrow is week 7 day 3 for me! I've tried the program a few times and this is the first time I've gotten past week 4. I think I'm *technically* doing "ease into 5K" - an app for my iphone that used to be based on C25K but I'm guessing they had to change it for legal reasons. I'm doing the treadmill version. I started out…

Most Kinect games seem to work your entire body since the kinect "sees" your whole body. We have the sports and adventures games as well as Dance Central. I really like the dance game since it's easy to get into it and not think about it as exercise. An hour seems to disappear really quickly. We just ordered Dance Central…
