Make yourself a smoothie at night with whey protein and berries. This will fill you up with good calories and should tide you over until you go to bed.

Not sure how much strength training you are doing, but you might consider increasing that. Also, increase the intensity of your workouts. Rest times during strenght training should be no more than 60 seconds. It sucks, but it works well and helps burn more fat. The muscle you add will make your scale weight go down slower,…

What have you been doing to lose weight?

What type of exercise have you been doing to lose the 60 lbs?

Get yourself a body fat scale. I can see that you understand why the weight scale is slow to go down, but a body fat scale will allow you to see your numbers go down much quicker and help keep you motivated:)

Weight lifting is a better fat burner than cardio, especially if you increase the intensity by decreasing rest time. Also, take into account the afterburn, this is up to 24 hours after weight lifting where your metabolism is roaring. Another thing, for every pound of muscle you add, your body will burn up to an additional…

I would be happy to help if you would like to add me as a friend.

I know for me, when I drink too much diet soda (more than 1 a day) I don't lose any weight. I've read a lot of things that say the ingredients mess up your metabolism. While it is hard to say either way, I have never read any fitness books or magazines that say it is good for you or "not bad" for you. They all say it is…

I would end it based on what he said about your Dad alone.

Don't even sweat it. Just get back on track tomorrow. I've read that when you double your caloric intake one day a week, it actually increases your metabolism for the next 24-48 hours. This is actually a good thing to do once a week:)

I think I'll stick with the experts on metabolism that are out there. I've read some things that try to discredit "starvation mode", but never from anybody who would be deemed an expert on metabolism. Who are Brad and John anyway? I've read a lot of credible sources and think I'm going to go along with them before I start…

I'm all about letting kids learn from their mistakes, or experience. However, I'm very glad I didn't get tattooed that young when I first wanted to. What I thought was super cool back then I now think is pretty lame at 35. At the same time, the mustache I put on my finger, and the heart on my arm that says "yer mom" will…

Fantastic!

Here's the thing. If you go by what MFP tells you to consume, you are still creating a 500-1000 calorie deficit each day. That means you are still burning more than you are consuming. When you exercise, it fires your metabolism up to burn more calories when you are at rest. This is where you are going to lose most of your…

When you exercise your body needs more calories. You don't necessarily need to eat all of them back, but if you don't get enough, your metabolism will slow down because of the starvation mode. When your metabolism slows down you lose weight much slower. Yes you can still lose weight, but it will be much much slower. The…

If you binge only one day a week, it's actually good for your metabolism. Try to limit it to one day though. One binge meal would be even better.

Of course lean meats are a great source. Other than that, low fat milk, peanut butter, greek yogurt, low fat string cheese or american cheese, almonds and hard boiled egg whites are all great sources of protein without too many calories.

I have The Biggest Loser game on the Wii and it will get your heart rate up and make you sweat.

I'm the same way with cottage cheese. I mix it with natural no sugar added applesauce and I've actually come to like the texture now. Hope that helps!

Look for Brown Cow. Very good!

Wow! Very motivating:smile:

Try your favorite fat to curb your appetite. A tablespoon of peanut butter, string cheese, yogurt etc. Just make sure it's high in protein and fat, and not so high in simple carbs.

Wow! Good job dude!

Check out the book "Abs Diet for Women". Great resource for teaching you how to eat right. It is also realistic. Not really a diet, just the right way to eat.

Everything I've read lately points to intervals. They are the best cardio to boost your metabolism and burn fat. I hate running too, but I can run for 3 minutes and walk for 1 minute for 40 minutes and it goes by quick. You can also run for 1 minute, then walk for 1 minute and go anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 or more for…

I would go by the machine. Myfitnesspal wouldn't know if you did 30 minutes fast or slow so it gives a general calorie number. The machine at least knows how hard you were working.

This is good info. The new science is stating that core work will beat out traditional ab exercises (crunches, sit-ups, etc.) when it comes to getting your six pack. Throw in a lot of stablization exercises like planks and side planks. Good luck!

Excellent advice. Whey protein is whey protein. I use the Body Fortress and it's just as good as the expensive stuff, without emptying your wallet.
