Sounds like its geared more for men then women. I slow jog (warm-up) at 4.5 and jog my max at 5.0. My hubby jogs at about 6 and is at a fast, comfortable walk at 4.5.

I'm in the same boat. I've lost 13 lbs, my pants are literally falling off of me and I only had one person ask about me if I was loosing weight. I think I look so much better and I feel good about myself so I just let it go. I think people notice, but don't want to say anything for their own reasons. Congrats on your loss!…

Amazing work! Good for you...what an inspiration you are! You look fantastic!

don't feel bad. I had an 'off' day last Tuesday. Ate a ton of junk, didn't excercize, and the next morning I declared it a new day and wiped it from my mind. Then weighed myself on Friday- my weigh in day- and lost 1.5 lbs. So, don't let it get to you. It can be fixed!

Water and add some lemon slices. It works. Also, green tea...I've learned to drink it without adding sugar and it's pretty good. Plus I feel full afterwards. Other hints, I chew sugarfree gum sometimes when I just want to snack on something and I'm not really hungry. This helps. And if its nice out, I take a walk or go to…

Yep, this.

I'm 5'4 and I'm at 144 lbs down from 155lbs. My goal is 135lbs, but I may shoot for 130 once I get there. I just have a lot of stomach fat to trim off. I'm experiencing a plateau right now...been hovering at the 144 lb mark for a couple of weeks. I've spiked my calorie intake for the last few days to about 1500 and now I'm…

I was in the same boat...couldn't jog for more than a minute at a time. But, I am up to 10/15 minutes nonstop now and looking to go futher. It takes baby steps...jog for a minute then back to a walk, wait til you catch your breath and jog for another minute. Before you know it, you'll be sailing right along.

I want one! My belly will be the same way...I nine more pounds to lose before my goal weight and I can still pick up the flab on my belly and flop it up and down. gross huh. Anyhow, I told my husband that the only way I was going to have a decent stomach was with a surgical tool. Love yours and it looks fantastic.

At Panara, 1/2 the Sierra Turkey and go without mayo. Will save you a ton of calories and it's still a huge portion (310 calories).

I'm proud because today I'm wearing slacks that I haven't been able to fit into for the past five (yes, FIVE) years. And they are not too tight, just right. :) I still have 10lbs to go, so I'm looking forward to those other clothes in my closet that I can't fit yet.

The best part is, most of what you are worried about will come naturally once the baby comes. I had the same worries when I was about to be a new mom. I wasn't freaked about giving birth, I was freaked about bring the baby home and caring for it. But as soon as she was born, I just knew- it all just clicked. So relax, its…

15 to 20 beers a day is a problem. I think it would be best at this point not to worry so much about losing weight, but to face your alchoholism. You've got a beautiful daughter (or so it seems from the picture), I think you should put her first and get help to control the alchohol dependency. She's going to need you…

I had the same scenerio a few weeks back. I opted for steamed rice and a vegetarian special. If I would have been quick on my feet, I would have ordered without sauce or sauce on the side. But, in the end, I still lost weight that week, so all worked out well :) Enjoy!

That is about how I started out too. But now I've been into this since Jan 1 and I'm loosing around 1.5 to 2 lbs a week. I think it's just your body adjusting to the change. I bet you will start to see results soon.

Thanks for all the good suggestions everyone! What a wonderful group you all are! I'm going to look in to getting the Couch to 5K program and start there. I think I've tried to do this myself and I need a structured plan to get me going. I think I can do this, just will take some time. Thanks again :)

OH, and you will want to go to whyquit.com. It's a great sight, teaches so much about the addiction itself and has a wonderful supportive community.

I'm a huge advocate of the Cold Turkey Method. Smokers don't want to hear that because it's hard, but I think weaning yourself or using nic supplements just prolong the misery. I smoked for sixteen years and when I wanted to quit, there was nothing I wanted more. I just decided that was it and it was. Now, just remember,…

Nearly eat it everday...1 tablespoon with sliced apples or on a banana. Love it :)

That's something I am focusing on myself. Every Friday I think I want to 'reward' myself and have a 'binge' day and eat all kinds of crap, but instead I have talked myself out of those binges by telling myself how cute I'm going to look this summer in all my new clothes! :) I even have some outfits in mind. Try going…

It's a 110 calories, but Weight Watchers has a Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake bar in the freezer section (where the ice cream is) that is too die for. I usually have to save up my calories so that I can indulge in one of these after dinner a few days a week. It's that good. Lol. Also Skinny Cow has some options that…

Yes, you need to eat those calories back. If you log your food and exercise in, MFP will automatically add those calories back for you. MFP makes it easy! :) Happy loosing.

I always find that when I'm on vacation, I don't generally gain weight and I don't count calories. I'm fairly certain this is because of all the walking and just all the moving around in general. When your on vacation, you don't want to sit in front of the TV all day long, there's too much to explore! I say just make the…
