I almost always put some white vinegar in the washing machine. Takes care of the sweat smells as well as mildew smells on towels or wash clothes. So cheap too!

Totally agree with food and tobacco - also would add body spray/perfume. When I do hot yoga I sweat a lot and I can smell myself but my hubby always says I don't smell when I ask him. Maybe he's just being nice....

Well said! I dieted before my wedding and never did meet my goal weight. But after my dress alterations I didn't want to lose anything more (that dress needed to fit me like a glove!), so I focused on maintaining and on our honeymoon there were no rules to follow!

I used to be able to exercise in the morning too - in fact when my daughter was 3 months old and I returned to work that was the only time I could *really* get in a good workout. But now (a year plus later) I find it super hard to get up in the morning just to go to work, let alone work out. I currently work out two nights…

Anyone feel free to add me - I'm always looking for supportive friends!

To this poster - not sure you've proven your point. Did you have more to lose to begin with? How do you two stack up if you compare yourselves as a percentage of body weight lost?

This is fantastic! Love family nap time...

I just discovered these this week too! So yummy! Raw kale is about 50 calories for 100 grams. I weigh it out on my scale and about 75 grams was plenty for me. The olive oil is another 60 calories for 1/2 tbsp. Tasty and low cal snack!

I have this problem on the elliptical too - but only since I was pregnant. I used to work out just fine on the elliptical pre-pregnancy. It freaked me out so I asked my Dr about it and they said basically this same thing. Your feet aren't moving like they would if you were actually running. When I tried shifting my weight…

I'm a C and I wear mine just tucked under the bottom of my sports bra. I have a Polar too (don't remember the model off the top of my head). The bra keeps it from moving around so I've never had any problems with rubbing. I've worn it doing everything from yoga to to running to weight lifting and not had a problem with it.…

I'm not vegitarian but I eat a lot of meat free meals. Breakfast - oatmeal with fruit, toast with peanut butter, yogurt, omlette (not so portable), breakfast sandwich (eng muffin, cheese and an egg - crack in a cup and microwave) Lunch - salad (put beans or a hard boiled egg on it for protein), PB&J, Soup (Vegetable Barley…

I don't announce it but if someone asks I let them know. My husband has known since the beginning. Since my weight loss has become more signficant, especially to people that I haven't seen in a while, I've been getting more questions about it. I've never had someone ask me if I'm sure I should eat something, but my MIL…

I use either baby spring mix or baby spinach (or both sometimes!) as my base. Then I add some some combination of the following toppings. I also mix up the dressings so that I'm not getting too bored. The only things that are consistent are that I usually have tomatoes (love them!) and some sort of cheese. tomatoes…

If you feel like you've lost 10 lbs, then that's what you've lost! Shouldn't matter to anyone but you anyway.... Personally, I put my starting weight at what it was when I began actively trying to become more healthy. It is a bit higher than my weight when I actually started using MFP, but not my highest weight ever. My…

Until a month ago I had a job where I worked 60-65 hours/week for 3 months of the year and 45-50 most of the other weeks (I was in public accounting and worked the longer hours during tax season). I was salary, so no overtime, and my company had flex time so there were weeks where I worked less than 40, but not many. I…

OP: The two sources you found and posted contradict each other. The first talks about how lemon juice helps with the body's pH because it is alkalilne and the other talks about how acidic it is. Also, to get the fiber that's in the lemons you would need to eat the whole fruit, not just juice the lemon or get juice from a…

Moe! Or Marley. Or Cooper. Super cute, btw!

I'm able to work out consistently on Tuesdays and Thursdays because my little one stays the night at Grandma's house those nights. On weekends I try to get a workout in during her nap time on at least one of the days. I also wear a pedometer to track my steps taken during a day and set weekly goals for myself. I try to…

I'm keeping my favorite outfit (jeans and a top) so that when I reach my goal I can laugh at how big they are on me. The rest are going to be donated or altered to fit. It doesn't really matter how much you paid for something in the past - unless you can return it that money is already spent! What you need to focus on is…

I'm so sorry you're going through this! It's easy for someone on the outside to give the advice to cut these people out of your life but I'm sure there are reasons why you haven't done so already (I don't have as toxic of a situation as yours is but I have some issues I'm dealing with right now and plenty of people giving…

I have the same breakfast every day Monday through Friday. A cup of coffee with a tbsp of Coffee Mate, one hard boiled egg, two slices of turkey bacon, and two Fiber Choice tablets (along with my other multi-vitamins). I typically eat it in the car (wrap the turkey bacon in paper towel to transport it, then use the paper…

I had the exact same problem when my husband and I were dating. We didn't live together so during the week I did fine and then on the weekends I was surrounded by temptation. When we got married and moved in together the temptations were there every day. I do the grocery shopping but I have and will always buy him whatever…

My board really depends on where I have it on the floor - could it be that?

bump for later - also wondering what the benefits are!

I'd be surprised if those are a whole pound unless they are super thick. As long as you're not wearing heavy clothes it shouldn't make a big difference - consistency with time of day and the scale you use is much more important since your weight fluctuates throughout the day anyway.

Feel free to add me - I'm a 31 working mom of 1. Good luck on your journey!

I see a lot of people complaining about this. And I've been there in the past. And I was there this weekend (seems most of us were, with family, chocolate, jelly beans, etc it was hard not to be!). But the difference between my past weight loss attempts and this one is that I'm making lifestyle changes. Just because I ate…

I'm also 5'7'' and I started at 218. My ultimate goal is to maintain 140-150, but a 70 lb loss was too daunting of a goal for me. So I've been setting my goals for a 10% weight loss and resetting them when I reach those goals. I've had to reset once (when I lost the first 10% - at 196.2) so my current goal is 176.6. When I…
