I haven't eaten a grilled cheese sandwich in forever (the last time I had one was in a restaurant that had nothing else vegetarian on the menu, they were even out of lettuce for salads due to a recall) but now it sounds really good. Gosh darn it you MFP posters! ;)

Yesterday's wrapup: 1. Log everything I eat and stay under goal. :) 2. Drink 6 glasses of water (I've been at 4 for a week now, so I'm going to aim for a 50% bump today.) :) 3. Grocery shopping at Aldi. :| I literally slept instead. I napped for 6 straight hours without meaning to. 4. Cook chickpeas for curry tomorrow. :)…

I'm in a similar boat, and my eating has been dodgy as heck lately. Somehow "just for today" has turned into "just for today I can eat ALL THE FOODS and I'll do better tomorrow." I gutted it out yesterday and stayed under goal, but I really wanted to order Chinese delivery and send my calories right into the stratosphere.…

It's 10 am here, but I'm dreaming about chips, guacamole, and a margarita. I have some extra calories I haven't used for tomorrow, and I may have to make my wish come true.

It's a service for realtors where we serve as the point of contact when they want to show a home between them and the sellers/listing agents/inspectors/etc. It's basically a call center environment, and the general manager is a super nice person who is always looking for ways to keep it a fun place to work. So he brings in…

I don't know, but the sheer amount of food we get offered at my job is kind of staggering. Donuts, cakes, hot dogs, potato chips, etc. As my dad says "all the unhealthiest stuff possible". LOL. I'm not totally caught up on the thread, but congrats on the contract Snowflake! That's pure awesomeness. How's the new position…

Breakfast: rice with leftover spicy peanut sauce Lunch: rice with chili beans and salsa, cucumber spears and carrot sticks Dinner: tofurky sandwich with romaine and spicy mustard, an orange Snack: an Envy apple: delicious!

My stepmother swears by the Trader Joe's version of non-dairy Cherry Garcia, but I've never tried it by either company. I'm not a big fan of chocolate covered cherries in general, though. Based on your review, though, I'm tempted to give it a try. The coconut seven layer bar is just like that: really rich so I CAN control…

The coconut 7 layer bar might (?) only be available in their non dairy line, but it is incredible. It has a coconut flavored base with fudge chunks, walnuts, graham crackers, and a caramel swirl. It is unbelievably decadent and delicious. I can usually get three servings out of a pint: the first two I'm disciplined and eat…

So I'm at 50%. But the house is clean and the laundry is laundered. Just For Monday: 1) Log everything and stay under goal. 2) Drink 8 glasses of water. Focusing on this one today! 3) Menu planning through Wednesday. 4) Avoid going out for fast food after work.

Also, welcome!

In for the posting on Sundays challenge! I still haven't read most of this week, actually. in the six months I didn't work, I had kind of forgotten what it was like to hold a job in terms of "disposable" time. @HEGoddard0928, I'm happy to hear that you're feeling better and that work is so much better now! I'm torn between…

I am normally a salty/savory person, but today I'm dreaming about Ben and Jerry's coconut 7 layer bar for some reason. I am tempted to go get a pint right now, which means I shouldn't!

Mary, you are a welcome addition to a thread that was already totally awesome. You have great energy! Sorry to hear about your day, Bex, but multiple high fives for keeping your cool and keeping the eating in check. Good night to you! I don't think I posted goals for today but if I did they would have looked like this: 1)…

Breakfast: banana that was rapidly becoming too ripe and had to be eaten Lunch: repeat of yesterday: rice with steamed broccoli, soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, and sesame oil Work snack one: flatout wrap with hummus and romaine, side of sliced carrots and bell peppers Work snack two: flatout wrap with hummus and…

None of this happened. I am so, so sick. I finally gave in and ordered my groceries online to pick up this morning and couldn't make myself get out of bed this morning to pick them up. Yesterday was my day off but I'm going in today at 3 if I can eat successfully. Goals for today: Drink enough water. Find something to eat…

Maybe just turn it back into a once a week thread? I like the thread and find it inspiring.

This is fabulous! Great job!!

My goals for today were simple; 1. Adhere to food plan: did not totally succeed at this. Had an early appointment that ran long and I didn't have time to make the soup I planned before leaving for work. It's okay, I'm still under calories so yay! 2. Drink 8 glasses of water before having a diet soda: :) Drank all the water…

I am always intrigued by your meals, janejellyroll. And curious about the spicy pumpkin sauce. How do you make it? Today was delicious but boring: Breakfast: none, overslept Lunch: rice with stir fried ginger sesame broccoli Dinner: tofurky sandwich on sourdough bread with spicy mustard and romaine, carrot sticks, cucumber…
-
LOL. Tonight was singularly unexciting. I had a tofurky sandwich on sourdough bread with spicy mustard and romaine. Side of carrot sticks and cucumber spears. Dessert was an orange.

Hmm. My biggest food vice that I regularly indulge in is chips and guacamole. My biggest food vice that I no longer indulge in is these little lemon tarts made by a Swiss bakery near me. They are amazing but horrific calorie wise and not vegan, so they are a fond memory.
-
That's a gracious and positive spin. Guess I'd better post some goals for tomorrow then! 1. Adhere to food plan: oatmeal, lentil soup, tofurky sandwich 2. Drink 8 glasses of water before having a diet soda 3. Make menu plan and grocery list for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

So, okay, my eating has been a straight out mess. I basically did the "well I've blown it now, so may as well..." for TWO DAYS. Blech. Got it back under control today though, but it was really unpretty there for a bit. I think I felt deprived at work because there is always all this free, fattening, non-vegan food there…

This. They are regularly two for a dollar here on sale every 3 or 4 weeks. When that happens I buy two or three green ones, ripen them myself, and then eat them daily until they are gone.

Sorry to hear about the surgery, but at least there's something they can do to help. Chronic pain is such a drag on every part of life. Sending you good vibes. To wrap up my last set of goals: stick to food plan: didn't do this drink water: did so well on this that I had many restroom breaks at work! clean kitchen: started…

One thing I want to address. If you're on 1200 calories and not hitting it, your tracking is probably wrong or you're undernourishing your body which can have really, really bad long term results. Are you weighing everything you eat?
-
I've been MIA and not eating the best. Sorry I don't have time to catch up on this thread, but my JFT goals are: 1. Stick to my eating plan: tofu scramble with zucchini, mushroom, and onion for breakfast, whole wheat pasta with tomatoes, basil, and garlic for lunch, gardein "chicken" florentino for dinner. 2. Drink water!…
