  • ^^^ I've read this over and over on this forum and i always thought "but I AM going slow! why am I still getting this pain?" it wasn't until I read somewhere that someone was overtaken by two old ladies power-walking in the park that I realised just how slow everybody was telling me to go. Good Luck!
  • Good luck Plex! Not that you'll need it - pretty sure you'll smash it lol.. Day 3 for me today, hoping I can keep my motivation/ energy up till it's time for my run this afternoon, there's just soooo much going on & the end of year craziness is really getting to - I don't even have kids yet !
  • Plex!! have you started W5 yet? I'm attempting day 3 tomorrow (dum dum duuummmm).. I surprised myself by being fine with W5D1 & 2, so I'm actually looking forward (a little) to day3
  • Ahoy hoy! I'm Pixie O'Horror from Sydney Roller Derby League in Sydney Australia. I started derby-ing close to 3 years ago now with a 9 month break due to injury/ rehab - pretty stoked to see a derby group on MFP :-)

  • I'm 5'1, currently 67kg (150 pounds), have already lost 5kg (11 pounds) and still have 10kg (22 pounds) left to lose till I reach my goal weight. I'm fairly new on MFP and am pretty active, so please feel free to add me - I'm Australian... I MUST be awesome ;) lol

  • Just wanted to let you all know that I finally cracked W4D1!! It was all the pace! I thought I was going slow already but after reading somewhere that somebody was overtaken by two old ladies powerwalking I realised I wasn't going quite that slow (lol) so I tried it - and voila! - I killed it!! So thank you to everybody…
  • Righto... I'm dragging my fiance down to the park this afternoon, giving him a stopwatch, and telling him to push me when it looks like I'm going to give in... I know I respond to personal trainers pushing me, so fingers crossed this helps. Thanks for the help guys :)
  • GAH! I think I'm stuck! I've now tried W4D1 3 times and haven't been able to complete the runs - in fact i feel like i'm actually getting worse! I can't get over 3 minutes per run, and I can't reach 3 minutes every time i try either. Should I just keep doing the same day till I finally get it? or should I go back and throw…
  • I'm in for december... it'll be interesting to see how many steps I take in a normal day!
  • Sydney based...Hiii! :drinker:
  • Soooo NOT looking ahead anymore ! I think I'll do the whole of week 4 and see how I go after the 3 runs, if I go ok I'll move on to week 5 - if not (insert dramatic music) I'll just do week 4 over again till i get it. Whatever happens I'll just keep on keeping on
  • Hahahaha thanks for the advice!!
  • Nope..I got my *kitten* kicked!! I actually think I could have done it, but my shins and calves were killing me - so once I couldn't run anymore I just walked it instead Guess I'll try again tomorrow :)
  • thank you! I'm at work now and excuses of why I can't go for a run today just keep running through my head... I will make myself go, even if i feel like total crap... and who knows - it just might actually be easy
  • I don't have any scientific way of doing it, and I'm sure that everybody's different... but all I do is try not to set out like a bull at a gate, and then try to keep the same rhythm going. When it gets hard I just focus on actually making each step rather than stopping (and listening for the finish lol). If you can't make…
  • yay for new skates!! Antics are meant to be great for narrow feet. Personally I have Riedell 265's and love them with my wide feet :)
  • Yay for you!! This is my first C25K & I've just completed W3D2 so I'm pretty happy that I've stuck with it :) PS - anybody who'd like to add me please do, I need all the motivation I can get ;)
  • I know right!? I've just done w3d2, yesterday I struggled with the 1st 3 minutes, but today I pushed through both of them! Ithink it's all about the pace...
  • I'm starting Week 3 today yay!!! It's hard but I feel really good after doing 2 days in a row (then I go and sabotage it all by taking 4 days off :/ ) Maybe we should start a support group, or maybe there's already one set up somewhere? might make it easier to stick with it...?
