I switch week to week, I feel different muscles tire after running outside, then another set when I start my week on the treadmill. My treadmill makes me work harder to keep up the speed that I use outside. I was thinking it was the mechanism itself isn't standard or regulated correctly.

I am in my 60's and had the same thing happen, I waited 5 months without losing a pound, but lost inches, before I checked everything and found after leveling hormones I had to lower my calorie count radically. Then I lost my pound a week. Keep active.

I am coming from the same place. Worked hard all year and just woke up one morning with so many self doubts and frustrations, I decided to take a couple weeks off. so for two weeks I didn't care what outlandish thing I did to wreck the steps I achieved. I did not buy the expensive exercise mats either, I found some floor mats called "Soft Tiles", that fit together like a puzzle. I bought the colorful ones sold in pack of 8 to use in a kids room. Anyway, two of these mats put together is perfect size for me and it is very comfortable on the knees and back.
