My most recent NSV was wearing a pair of pants for the first time in months that were my designated "tight jeans" before only to find they are now loose...yay!

If you are looking for a new challenge I would recommend Ripped in 30 now!! I found it to be a progressively harder workout than 30 day shred and got some great results!! Nice job!!

^^^This. There's a big misconception that weighing less means looking better...trust me if you start getting into some serious strength training and PUT ON 5 pounds of lean muscle you will look better than you do now.

Also thanks for this...girls tend to forget about what is actually attractive and just try to look like what they see in magazines.

You can certainly be large or small framed...I think the best indication of a large frame is your hand and wrist size (my hands are almost as big as my boyfriends) as well as your hips and shoulders. I have a large frame. Very wide shoulders (i'm talking bones here nothing else) wide hips large hands and feet (I wear a…

I am about 2 weeks shy of being a year PP and since November I have lost close to 30 pounds. I didn't even attempt to lose weight by reducing my calorie intake until my daughter was 8 months old however. I was too afraid of it affecting my milk supply. Once she was doing really well with solids it didn't worry me as much…

Joan23_us: I will not lie, it's been 6 weeks... I've grown impatient and VERY annoyed. I possibly won't be on here if something doesn't happen in another 4 weeks. Not saying that I'll become careless...but, what's the point in "eating less and moving more" if you don't get the expected results with calorie counting? I can…

Realizing I can pull down a pair of my jeans without undoing them.

You would rather the "unfit for consumption by humans until washed in ammonia" meat then?? Barf. Neither choice sounds good. McDonald's should come with poison labels on the box.

Thank you :D

I'm about 5'7" and a half so we are pretty close

No actual weight lifting just finished Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 using 5 pound hand weights. Pretty effective for me!

Personally I believe there is a big difference in actually being hungry and just wanting to eat something. Being hungry for me is definitely signalled by my stomach. Pangs and grumbles mean I NEED food. Then there is the thought of the Bear Paw in the cupboard that pops into my head. Suddenly I want to eat that Bear Paw. I…

If you're looking for a challenge you can do in your own home (which has been great for me with an 11 month old) I highly recommend Jillian Micheals DVD's!! She incorporates strength, cardio and resistance training that becomes more challenging as you progress (30 Day Shred and Ripped in 30) and also offers modified moves…

Hey there. I have a daughter who is about to turn 1 year in about a month. Let me tell you I can understand the feeling of "oh my god I'm gaining weight!!" that you go through. I had just gotten into the best shape I had been in for a looooong time right before getting pregnant. My weight before pregnancy: 158 (I'm about…

Sorry to keep going on about the shirt but....recently?? We just got a Maurices here and if that shirt is there I want it!! lol

I am currently sitting at the weight where I usually start slacking off (160 lbs 5'7" female) and it's because I seem to have a major plateau at this point that takes FOREVER to break through!! Right now I am bouncing from 157-161 lbs or so for the last 4 weeks. Recently I have upped my calories and intensified my…

I have lost 20 pounds since November (about 4 months ago) when I started getting serious about losing weight again. I weighed this much just before getting pregnant with my daughter when I was on a weight loss kick the first time around but could never get any lower than 155 pounds. I know this last 15 or so pounds is…

I think it's natural and fine to be anxious about joining the gym. I also felt that way when I first started going. You feel like everyone is watching you (they aren't) and that they somehow know you've never been there and don't know what you're doing (they don't). My advice is to go there and just get down to business.…

Try laughing cow cheese. I use this as a cream cheese replacement in a lot of my cooking. It comes in regular, light and different flavours which is also great. Stirring a couple of the garlic flavoured triangles into mashed potatoes is just one of the ways I have used them! However I think you would need quite a bit for…

Thanks! All great information to consider.

OP here :) so after reading through all these great posts (getting a few giggles here and there) I got what I wanted...some opinions from both the "go for it" side and the "accept what you've got" side... Although Nuttellanuts had a fantastic first post...they all kinda went downhill from there...LOL! Way to stir the pot…

Just as eating only healthy foods is a false message for weight loss (cravings for "unhealthy" foods eventually take over, creating a binge which sometimes leads to a lapse in healthy eating)....I think eating lots of junk is also a false message for weight loss. While eating "junk" as long as you stay in a calorie deficit…

^^^THIS^^^ How sucky is it when you hit the gym all year long and when January rolls around you don't even get the chance to work out for all the people crammed in there....it's extremely frustrating because you know about %75 of them are not going to be there next month anyways....it wouldn't bother me as much if I…

So when i said cheat days i guess what i should have been more specific in saying is not so much what you are eating but the counting of calories....like if i wanted some triscuits today i wasn't going to count out only 10 of them....i was just going to grab a handful and not worry about it...

Thanks for this. Interesting read!

You want to lose more?? That seems quite thin for your height...I'm 5' 8" and couldn't imagine being 120 pounds...I would look sick. At 140 I look healthy and toned.

Yew!! Nice job! It's cool to see guys logging their success stories too!! It seems that a majority of the posters on here are female...but guys struggle too!! Looking good fursure!!
