  • Thanks Lorina. That makes me feel a bit better (just a bit, haha).
  • I weighed myself this morning and am almost 5 lbs more than I was when I weighed in last week. I have been at my calorie goals and added in more exercise this week. I have a HORRIBLE cold though with swelled sinuses and throat. Could that make a difference? I'm feeling very discouraged. :frown:
  • I agree with once a week. If I weigh myself more than that, it drives me nuts! My weight fluctuates too much.

  • Wow! You look great! I'm down 13 as well with about 20 to go!
  • OMG! Where dit eht other half of you go? Nice job!!!
  • You are talking about the Jillian Michaels workout, correct? Thanks!
  • I do mini workouts throughout the day. I take at least two 15 minute walks during my work day. I log them both. Like so many others are saying, "you make the rules". Personally, I don't log my cleaning or yardwork but do log little workouts. It's whatever you want to do.
  • I am just getting started on my weightloss journey. I've lost 13lbs but want to lose about 20-25 more. Anyway, I walk each day with two 5 lbs weights. I do little arm workouts with them and also a few squats. Should I be doing this? I'm not to the point where I necessarily need to focus on toning up. I have to lose weight…
  • I'm 5"7' and currently 170 lbs. I want to lose 20 more. I think I look good at 150 but who knows, maybe I will want to drop a few more after that.

  • Apples and bananas are great. Rice cakes, pretzels. I am realizing that I eat too many carbs. I am going to increase my fruit consumption this week.
  • I've been eating turkey sandwiches. 5 slices of Oscar Meyer turkey = 45 calories and 2 slices of bread= 70 calories (mustard = no calories). For a total of 115 calories, I can substitute this sandwich for one of my snacks. Much more filling than a few crackers.
  • I think I would lose weight by doing this because I would throw up! LOL. I do add about a shot of lemon juice (bottled) to my water. This is supposed to help your digestive system and it seams to work (girgle girgle).
  • It can be so hard to log food that you do not make or that is not specifically listed in MFP. I have tried and it gets frustrating. Was my meal 500 calories or 1500 calories??? Just drink a lot of water and make good choices. Don't mess with logging. Have a great time!!!
  • Diet Pop! I know it has 0 calories but I drink a lot of it, every day. I tried to give it up for a few days and I was an evil person. I seriously wanted to run people over with my cart at the grocery store. :ohwell:
  • I also like the idea of a couple shorter exercises. This past Saturday for example, I did three 20 minute workouts to break up my day of cleaning. It was a nice break from scrubbing floors and folding laundry. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than on a normal day. I might try to do that on weekends going forward. Also,…
  • I'm with you Nicole. I am almost 5'8" and currently weigh 170. I would love to get down to 150 or 145. I think that would put me in a size 6 and I would be so happy! 145 is THIN for me too! Let's do it!
  • I've made a few pizzas since starting MFP. I think the most important part is the crust! Last time I used a Betty Crocker crust where you just add water and eggs or somethingn like that. It was pretty good and lower in calories than the other premade crusts. I load on the peppers and some onions, normally use chicken. I…
  • How did you like Insanity? Good results? I tried it for a few weeks but quit. :( Trying to decide if I should get started again.
  • I did it for a few weeks and quit. That was before I joined MFP. I gave up because I missed a couple of days in a row and I was frustrated. I have actually been thinking about starting up again. It's really hard and definitely not boring. I think it is an awesome workout.
  • I try to only eat lunch out once a week, two times at the most. I bought a bunch of Nutrisystem meals (180 - 250 cal but not great tasting) at Big Lots and I keep them at my desk. I also bring a few Lean Cuisines to work so that I have some options. I LOVE making it through the entire day and having calories left over for…
  • I was using my treadmill almost daily and noticed that my legs were bulking up a little. I've been on the elliptical for a couple of weeks and I'm loving it! I seem to burn more calories on the elliptical. I think I need to start mixing it up more. It's really good to do different activities.
  • Wow!!!! Good for you! That is an amazing transformation and truly inspires me. Keep it up! I've also been really high and often over on my sodium. I will start watching more closely.
