  • MOG here. Wedding is Friday evening, 05/18. Joined mid-December 2011 and have lost 20 lbs. Bride, groom, sister, niece, MOB, etc. have all joined as well and were the reason I first became aware of this fabulous site. Shopping for a dress was much more enjoyable than I expected, since most of the dresses I tried on…
  • Elomi Energise - $64, but so worth it. Goes up to M cup. It holds the girls up and in place with no jiggling and no shoulder or back pain. Look for it online if you don't have a good lingerie store near you. You can order it from nordstrom.com, and shipping is free. I love mine.
  • Made this tonight and it was delicious. Sesame Beef Stir Fry adapted from Cooking Light Magazine 2 servings, 348 calories each 1 tablespoon minced ginger 1 tablespoon minced garlic 2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce 1 ½ teaspoons brown sugar 1 ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper (pretty spicy, reduce if desired) 1 tablespoon…
  • How about seeing a therapist to figure out how to retrain your palate? You are missing out on a lot of good food/nutrition.
  • I confess.......I am addicted to food porn as well. I could be called a foodie or a food snob. I love to cook from scratch, browse recipes, tweak recipes, share recipes, buy real food ingredients and eat yummy things. Today my husband and I went to a huge Asian market and it was a real high. Do I need a support group? Oh,…
  • Love my non-fat plain Greek yogurt. Fage, Chobani, Oikos, Kirkland (at Costco). I buy which one's cheapest at the store that day. I add a little honey and a bit of pure vanilla extract when I want it sweetened (with fruit/granola, etc.). I also use it in place of sour cream for eating and all recipes calling for sour cream.
  • I love my 1 and 1/2 cups of morning coffee. Starbucks French Roast - I buy the beans at Costco. I use 1 teaspoon of real half and half in each cup (down from just pouring it in without measuring). I also use 1 packet of Equal - I know, bad.....but I like the taste.

  • WW = $$ MFP = free I rest my case.
  • I think I'd be tempted to say, "I'm eating healthy and exercising...my body is finding its ideal shape and weight. Over 30% of people in the U.S. (or wherever you live) are overweight, and we've gotten used to seeing overweight and out-of-shape people as normal." Or, just smile and ignore them. :-)
  • Super-tasty sounding recipes. They are going in my recipe file today. Thanks. Homemade tabbouli is awesome!
  • Wow! Great story. Definitely "refrigerator-posting worthy."
  • I eat anything I want to eat. However, I don't want nor crave: most processed foods fast foods soda pop I love to cook and eat and I only eat REAL foods that taste good. It's not worth the calories to eat crap and then feel like crap. I love dark chocolate, wine, and good cheese, all in moderation. I bake desserts…
  • All my old shorts are hanging off me now. I bought one new pair and have to wear them all the time. I don't want to buy any more because I'm still losing. A great feeling.
  • No reason not to eat real eggs.
  • I did for a while and made him tell me everything he ate so I could log it. He finally saw the light and began making better food choices and cutting out all the extra helpings (and cutting down on wine, too). He is now mindfully eating, for the most part. Since I do all the cooking and cook everything from scratch, his…
  • Wow. Terrific results. Your body is thanking you.
  • Peanut butter and butter sandwiches on white bread. What was I thinking?? Oh, I guess I wasn't.
  • I've also read about wiping down the area with white vinegar, but haven't actually done it myself. I do make sure all food items are in sealed containers--no chip clips or folding down cereal liners for me.
  • Amen, sister. I confess, I do eat some low-fat dairy products, but NO fat-free ones cause they taste like crap (except Greek yogurt). If you prepare homemade foods, you can use NORMAL ingredients and still lose weight if you exercise and eat in moderation.
  • If you eat rubbish: You will feel crappy You will look haggard and tired You will always be hungry You will continue to crave rubbish Not sustainable for your lifetime, which will be miserable and short.
  • Go buy a whole chicken and a bunch of vegetables and make some homemade chicken and vegetable soup. This will make you feel better and provide some needed nutrients to your diet. You need some homemade, real foods (prepared the healthy way) to boost your immune system.
  • I'm surprised by how much I sweat when I exercise.
  • If you're not drinking soda and eating a lot of sweets, but are getting sugar from unprocessed foods like fruit and vegetables, don't worry about it. I don't even track sugar. But do pay attention to the sugars in processed foods and try to reduce them.
  • Ask your dermatologist about retin-a cream for your face. It is a Rx. You DO have to wear sunscreen every day.
  • Elomi Energise. Available at Nordstrom. Goes up to H cup. Very supportive. Industrial strength fabric, 4 hooks. Around $65. I love it. I bought mine in Dallas, although the store didn't have one in stock, they had one shipped from Las Vegas (land of plastic surgery?) Can also be purchased online. Terrific fit. NO jiggle.
  • "I can't stay on a diet.......(whine, whine, whine)." Don't GO on a diet, go on a healthy eating plan. If you make better food choices, you can eat a lot of food.
  • No, you don't have to pay for a bra fitting.
  • Posters are correct in that you cannot find a good bra at Walmart, Target, etc. Even their sports bras do not have the support you need. I couldn't even find one at higher-end department stores. I was lucky to be in a Dallas Nordstrom's (at the Galleria) during October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), and the lingerie…
  • Go get fitted for a good quality bra. Yes, they're expensive (my sports bra from Nordstrom was around $65) but SO worth it. The support does not come from the shoulder straps, but from the band and cups if it is fitted correctly. Run, do not walk, to a store near you for a fitting. I am very large in the cup and I don't…
