I believe the tech for HR on the wrist is still very young and inconsistent. I considered going with a fitbit charge hr but in the end just stuck with my Garmin Fenix 2. google DC rainmaker he has a lot of good reviews in my opinion and you might find some insight there.

The first one sounds like a decent variation on Barbell Hip Thrusts The hip thrust activates and builds the upper glutes to a much greater extent than squats, and even to a greater extent than deadlifts. Sit on the ground with your back against a bench, feet planted firmly in front of you, and a padded barbell in your lap.…

Nothing wrong with 60 minutes a day for cardio. I personally do 30minutes with weights and 60 on days that I don't have weights. Like others have said mix it up and spice it up. I spend a lot of time on elliptical but once spring hits I start biking and hiking.

I know I am not a lady but the truth is that there really is no way to target specific areas of fat. Keep up the hard work and your body will release all over slowly. Some people notice certain areas first and last but the truth is our bodies control this and for all of the reading I have done countless hours I have never…

Not to troll but I have always believed that rule to be 1g protein per pound of LEAN body mass. If you weigh 300lbs and your 40% fat I would not say eat 300grams of protein coupled with the rest of your daily needs.

losing weight is different for everyone but as some have mentioned you really cant truly target specific spots to lose fat in. Keep up the hard work you have been putting in and add weights in to the routine. It will happen!!!

Insanity is a great cardio workout and will also help with muscle toning to some extent. I am guessing you are shooting to loose a few pounds based on your post and cardio is only one factor. So if you want to get as much out of the Insanity video as you possibly can you will want to make sure your diet is on target also.…

It's not that hard and you are over thinking it. You are new to all of this and there are TONS of opinions. To get started don't sweat the little stuff. For the next month get on the elliptical or whatever your choice is for cardio 3x a week do your best to keep your heart rate up while on the equipment. Lift weights 2x a…

There are so many reasons that you could be contributing to you situation. What you think are 7-10 hours could easily be far less than that. Do you snore? Have sleep apnea? This really is something for you to totally work out with your DR. If your diet is good and your active like you say then there is probably some other…

There are a lot of resources out there to help teach a proper squat but the bottom line is that we are all different and what works for one may not be perfect for you. Some basic rules to consider when squatting. Heals should be roughly shoulder width. Not your toes they will be turned out slightly maybe 30 degrees again…

Avoid carbonated drinks like the plague in my opinion they bloat you and leave you feeling empty. Split your meals into 6 meals a day and spread them out. every 3 hours. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack...bed. Before you know it you will be sick of eating!!! Also try to get some cardio in daily it seems to…

Sometimes tight muscles can actually cause you knee pain as well. especially if your hip flexors are tight this can cause your muscles to turn your legs in and cause knee pain. Do a few google searches on hip flexors and knee pain. I bet many of you may be surprised.

This poor thread has been hijacked. For the average person its really all about in and out. for the athletes who can support a 6k or higher diet fantastic but most of do not metabolize like this. Bottom line is the more muscle you have the more you will metabolize. This is factual and we all know this. It is also true that…
