I have always liked his reviews...http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/02/garmin-scale-review.html Also it depends on your source of tracking do you use garmin products? I really like garmin but I find fitbit fun to use as a daily tracker as all my friends have fitbits and so maybe your other devices should be also considered.…

Sex is a great distraction. Just saying

I only think it's funny because I have read so many posts on this site from people saying it doesn't matter what you eat so long as your in a deficit and then I see folks complain how WW doesn't help you make good choices by paying attention to your macros. They do have a system as above poster noted in which the better…

WW is great for support and accountability something about stepping on that scale every week helps many people stick to their plans. The charms and rewards they offer you for attendance and doing well meeting your goals and such are pretty valuable to people. The direct feedback from the groups that you get when sharing…

I used to love the Everquest...They have free to play now also. I still play occasionally

Do you know the muffin man?

Well the thing about weight loss is that you didn't put it on overnight and sadly it isn't coming off overnight either. Be patient and remember your building a new better you:)

bone density does vary from person to person. Now if there is enough of a difference to argue it I can't say. Wrist size can be very miss leading when talking purely size. muscle, fat contribute hugely to this. My wrist size has changed drastically since my weight loss journey began.

You can get pretty close by measuring the rice, meat and sauce. The rice should be easy to measure. The meat well if you know you put 5oz. of beef in and you eat half the prep you can get a decent ball park.

I like mine a great deal. I really enjoy the challenges with friends. Feel free to add me if you like. I calibrated and also told it that I wear it on dominate hand so it would be less sensistive. I would rather have it she a few less steps than more.

I really don't think any of us are qualified to answer this question for your especially since you have had some medical issues in your history. That being said if your hydrated and not getting overheated and your general nutrition is spot on. I would really consider pushing your doctor for more help. Heat and Hydration…

Hmm I saw a lot of arguing and attacking going on here but really no answer came for the OP. My basic understanding of the two is that water weight is temporary and it will find it's way back. Water weight fluctuates a great deal from day to day. Fat loss which is what we are all after comes from creating a healthy caloric…

Smoking is one thing a person has control over that will at some point most likely cause a disease that will end your life. Enough said...

Well you have already made a start. You came here you made a profile so you probably already have a goal set up. Now start tracking your meals that you currently eat so you can see how many calories your taking in and adjust it accordingly. One thing that works well for me when I have busy weeks is to take a day you have…

That's funny!!!

Hello all!!! Anyone else ever struggle with their first night back on shift? OMG I can never get sleep so I end up awake nearly 24 hours.

It really depends on your budget and what you want out of it. I have both the Fitbit Charge which I like very much. It's great for steps and the whole challenges with friends it motivating. I also have a Garmin Fenix 2 which is not exactly a fitness tracker but a multisport watch it works very well for many activities what…

I think it's a great idea and you should go for it. I know I could do without the snickers bar.

As others have mentioned it is most likely water weight your seeing. Keep an eye on your scale don't weigh too often. Once a week is perfectly acceptable. If you have been doing WW points plus they are all about portion control and don't take any macros into account. So it's hard to say that your starving your body being…

DOMS is the release of lactic acids from your muscles. The feeling for me after a super intense squat day is like OH man I need to ease myself down onto this commode. ouchy ouchy ouchy....VS. wow this hurts....Then its more likely time for RICE ...Rest ICE Compress Elevate... If that is your pain then give yourself a…

It will get better everyday!!!!

I want a snickers bar

HR wrist is still a new tech and will only get better with time but for now I still choose to use my Garmin Fenix 2 with HRM chest strap.

You have not given us much to go on here but what I will say is that someone has to be that kid right? I mean don't judge harshly because he is bringing up the rear. If he is a little out of shape baseball is great for that. If his diet is off and needs mom to be accountable OK. If he is Xbox generation set some limits.…

Well said for a beginner(someone who is just joining the gym) Personally I try to do 30 minutes of cardio on days that I core work and 45 on days that I don't do weights/core. Stretching daily is really good advice. I would also speak with your gym do they offer any les mills classes? I actually love several of those…

There are many factors when it comes to calorie burn. First and foremost it depends on the person and their body composition. Secondly it depends on how its being determined. Is it just being determined by a basic calculation or is a heart rate monitor being used in the calculation? Lots of factors affect this outcome and…

Forget about everyone else and just go for it. If you do need help most people in the gym are actually very helpful and kind should you approach someone. If you are just starting out seriously consider looking up some good core work. There are many workouts that don't really require much use of weights to start anyhow. As…

There are a lot of thoughts on this and one such thought is that if you are always snacking ie. 6 meals a day or more then it can actually work against you because your body is releasing insulin which can affect how your body burns fat. Additionally when your are eating/snacking all day it is quite easy to lose track of…

yea it does it for you so you would be double logging, if I am reading your post correctly.
