  • Thanks! I didn't see Girl Scouts in there... Maybe there's hope. I did see Oreos so now it'll be easy not to give in to those anymore.
  • You sound very much like me. Or at least very much how I usually was. My biggest thing I had to get a grip on was portion control - regardless if it was good food or bad food. I could eat all the time if I wanted to, whether or not I was actually really hungry, & it usually takes a lot before I get really full. I have a…
  • Daily Challenge for Wednesday January 30th: Pick out 3 workout songs & post them here! Bonus cool points if you actually work out to them!
  • ^ Sometimes I sleep for 11 hours. Am I unhealthy because I'm not eating in my sleep? Anyway, it really doesn't matter if you eat breakfast or what time you first eat after you get up. It matters if you're hungry or not & if you ingest quality food. I get up around 11am & usually don't have anything besides tea until about…
  • Did you have anything going on in your life at that time? A few years ago I lost 20lbs in less than 2 months & was kinda scary skinny, but I was going through a life change at that time. Normal work & remember eating a lot of quesadillas & caramel frappuchinos. Stress or vitamins or medication changes can make you gain or…
  • Anyone know if Girl Scout Cookies contain GMOs? Probably gonna have to look that up...
  • I did about 55 minutes of Insanity today - 20 minutes of a fit test (my Day 15) & part of a workout day that I missed last week (skipped the warm-up since I did the fit test, & then was pretty pathetic the 2nd half) so about 25 minutes of that. What do you guys want Wednesday's challenge to be? Make up one or I'll think of…
  • So most people on these types of "diets" find that lots of protein & vegetables is what works best for them on their fasting/ low-cal days/ times? Do many vegetarians do this kind too or is it more difficult for them? Edit: To the poster above me: I'm not offended by other people's diaries, it's their business & whatever…
  • I love wine. For several years, even before I started gaining weight, I drank a lot of it - it wasn't uncommon for me to drink more than a bottle a night. Although I probably average less than a bottle per week these days, I wouldn't have a problem if I decided to have a couple of glasses a night. A couple of things to…
  • Tuesday January 29th: 30 minutes exercise of your choice spamantha57 natstar1010 zorreena ...anyone else in?
  • There's a quote I love that applies to many things in life & quite fitting for this: "If it was easy, everyone would be doing it."
  • This month I started out at 5xs a week about 40 minutes each. Next month I want to do 6xs a week at least an hour each, hopefully an hour & 1/2 3xs/wk.
  • It took me 2 weeks to lose my 1st lb. I started Insanity & although the scale hasn't changed much, I know my body is changing for the better.
  • You don't *have* to run. I haven't been able to run since I was in Jr. High, but I still was active. When I would go on the treadmill at the gym, I normally don't go above 4.0-4.5. Start out walking at 2.0, after minute go to 2.5. In a couple minutes go to 3.0, then 2 more minutes go to 3.5. There is your 5 minute warm up…
  • The TDEE shouldn't be much higher than BMR if the only reason you get out of bed is to go to the bathroom & shower right?
  • I'm 5'2" and was a professional dancer (including ballet) for about 20 years. My weight was usually around 107 (105-114.) 107 for a BALLET dancer. 100lbs for any normal person that height is too small. I did get down to 100lbs twice - both times I had very serious health issues & was scared. Edit to add: I had health…
  • Yeah... I don't think I'm going to lose 8lbs in 2&1/2 weeks...
  • Okay let's make the 1st day easy! Tuesday January 29th: 30 minutes of any exercise. Post in here when you're done! Also post an idea for another daily challenge.
  • 8. Write your current weight. Have you lost anything in the past week? If not, what are your plans for this week? 154. I lost 1lb last week. I'm planning on exercising a bit more this week, like 20-30mins 3-4xs a week or something.
  • Still down just 1lb, 155 to 154 in 2 weeks.
  • I just finished my second week. I love it but it's really really hard. I decided to get it because I know I need to work on cardio/ my heart, & I wanted something intense that would give quicker results. I've only lost 1lb in 2 weeks, but I LOOK like I lost a lot more, & I feel different already in a good way. After the…
  • Anyone else? Former / current/ aspirational dancers, feel free to add me. :)
  • Congrats & welcome! I'm not sure what a normal schedule is, but I'm pretty sure it's for other people haha. :) The best thing I can say to get started is find out what works best for YOU - what works for others or even for most may not be the best way for you. I have my food & eating down good, just have to focus on being…
  • I know which presentation you're talking about, I watched it before. It's pretty much no-brainer stuff like artificial sweeteners, processed carbs, soda, etc.
  • I'll check that out next time I'm in a Target. There's not one around where I'm at right now. It sounds about the same as the ones I usually eat.
  • I like to think of meal replacement shakes more as a supplement instead of a replacement. I don't really think that real food should be "replaced." If/ when I decided to have something like this, I think of what I want to add more of in my diet (protein, fruits for more vitamins, etc.) & have it because it's easier or more…
  • Whenever works best for you. It doesn't matter what time. Some people are too tired to work out when they wake up, others can't work out at night/ before bed. I used to go to the gym at 1am sometimes. Whatever's gonna move you. I'm more motivated at night. I was working out at 11pm, now I've been working out around 6pm.
  • I could probably choose BBQ sauce over ketchup if it came down to it, like with fries or hot dogs. I also used to make Ramen with BBQ sauce & sweet & sour. I haven't eaten Ramen in years, but if I was going to I'd probably want it with BBQ sauce.
  • Don't shampoo every day. Unless you use a million crazy products every day because you're a professional model or something you don't need it & you're stripping your hair. I condition my hair every day when I shower & shampoo maybe 3xs a week, like every 3rd day. I also found that Head & Shoulders shampoo or a generic…
