I really like Egg White Protein powder by Jay Robb, it tastes great, but it is a little pricey. I'm curious what other people like, I tried Aria for women and it's terrible, stay away from that one!

8lbs in a month is good! I know how it can be frustrating though. Honestly if you consume 1200 calories for a short time, as long as you get enough protein and you eat several times a day, the starvation mode thing is a myth. It takes time to truly go into starvation mode, however, if you don't eat enough calories, chances…

Holy Wow!! You look amazing, like a different person! That's incredible!

I'm in the same boat. I have been big most of my life, well the last 22 years of it anyway and when I lost almost 60lbs 7 years ago I know for sure my arms looked better before, and I still have that xtra flab/skin, and it's more noticable now than before. This time around I noticed I've already got extra flab at my inner…

I started it a few weeks ago, and was only aiming at doing it 4 days a week at first, so I'm glad you posted this. I also have bad knees and let me say, it killed me and I had to modify the jumping jacks (regardless of the fact that she says not to), but by day 4 it was much better. However I hurt my shoulder (not sure if…

I'm also a nightshifter...and I struggle with this on nights I'm off (like tonight) and unable to sleep. I have eaten more tonight than I would have preferred, but didn't eat unhealthy. I try to keep quick things around, like pre-packaged grapefruit from del-monte, I always drain it to avoid the extra sugar. I love apples…

I have the same problem, and it sounds like you and I are on a similar plan. Most days my caloric intake is around 800-900 max, now some days it's more, but never over 1200, and that's on a snacky bad day..like today. I see the doc monthly and a nurse practitioner or nutritionist weekly most weeks. I tried MFP over a year…

I have been on MFP for about 3 months now, and it's a great place for support! I need to lose almost 100lbs, and my mom also died young because she didn't take care of herself, and I inherited her genetics, and that is one of the big reasons why I decided to do this. We can do it! Feel free to add me! I'm a daily logger ;)

Thanks for adding me interceptor!

I am too! Although I'm already friends with you!! So if anyone would like to friend me, I'm up for it!

I was wondering the same thing! I used high impact aerobics because I had no clue, and can't find my HRM! I'll try the circuit training thing.

It looks so yummy, does it reheat well? I'm adding this to my list for the grocery store! Yum!

That's pretty much what I have to lose too, and I am almost 1/3 of the way there. Seems like a huge task but I know we can do it, one step at a time. I try to celebrate every victory.

Wow great job! You look wonderful!!!

I just got it myself, and was thinking of starting it today. I can't do it daily because of my schedule, I'm hoping to do it 3-4 days a week at first, and then once my endurance is better maybe I can fit it into my schedule..but I figure 3-4 days a week is better than none!

Well, what are your goals?? Why do you want to lose weight? I couldn't get motivated either, the weight kept adding on, I kept growing out of my clothes and got more miserable with every passing day. Finally I had to sit down and make a list of exactly why I wanted to lose weight, and then I put them in order of most…

I'm generally on daily, even weekends and a frequent poster, feel free to add me! I have about 55-65 more lbs to lose.

That's great, and I know how you feel, I used to do the same thing sometimes! Often I'd get home and realize I was full after beginning my main "meal" but I'd finish it because it was there. It's a weird feeling to me still to not finish everything on my plate and not to be ashamed of what I'm eating. Great job on turning…

So cool! I lose too much more and my engagement ring may have to be sized down! Congrats!!

Not everyone can loose just by cutting calories. I happen to be one of them. I've tried it all, with a short time of success, but my body absolutely hoards fat. I have PCOS, metabolic syndrome, etc, etc. I've been on metformin for the insulin resistance which helps a lot of people lose weight, but me..nope. Now that said,…

I eat Turkey Sausage Bites, only 6 have 80 calories and 6gm of protein. Makes for a great snack when I know I need to eat something fast. You can find them in the beef jerky section. I also eat the Atkins bars when I need more calories. But I am also doing low carb.

Totally Awesome!! The first time I lost weight, this is exactly what I did. I finally looked at myself with respect and set attainable goals, and would even have a "less healthy" meal once every few weeks. Not a whole day, just a meal, and always at night so hopefully if it caused cravings, they would mostly be gone by…

Just wanted to say I'm so glad this post has gotten such a great reply and thanks to all who have added me as a friend. Feel free to add me! I'm doing MFP to help me track my food, but I am doing low carb and lower calories than MFP recommends. I would normally never do this but it's Doctor supervised and recommended by my…

This Topic seems to have died! I've been on MWL for 3 weeks now, and I would really love people to chat with. I agree there are a lot of low carb haters, and especially when they hear how strict it is. I worry about gaining it back when I meet my goal, but I really think that once I get there, if I'm careful, stay within…

So glad I finally logged on on the computer! At my heaviest 7 years ago I was 250, lost 60lbs down to 190, but over the years after becoming a nurse, working nights etc I gained 47 of those lbs back. So this time I started at 236.4 mid-Dec 2011 and am now down to 222.5, down almost 14lbs. My first goal is to be below 215…
