  • Take that diabetes! Getting off my blood pressure meds is one of my goals. I was able to get off my "happy pill" in May.

  • What the heck....count me in!
  • Doesn't it make you feel so accomplished?! I was looking for a pair of capris in a particular blue color. My daughter-in-law found the right color but the wrong size. They were a size 8. She told me to try them on and my response was "I'm not that small yet." Well, she kept insisting I try them on so relunctantly I did.…
  • Good for you!! I remember when I started my C25K and i could barely run for the 60 seconds. You WILL get better given time but do listen to ypur body.
  • I don't have any after pics yet as I am only on day 5, level 2 (day 15 of the 30). I can do most of the non-modified exercises but do usually do the less impact ones to protect the knees. I don't know if I have lost inches yet...waiting to remeasure at the end. I will say this. I can see changes in my belly area and my…
  • It varies for me each workout. If I really go all out without breaks, I can burn almost 300 calories. Other times, it's as little as 140 calories. Get a heart rate monitor and wear it when you do the workout. I have my monitor connected to my Endomondo and it uploads the calories burned to MFP.
  • I'm on day 13, level 2. Being OCD, I will complete this DVD even if I want to quit:-) I already feel muscles developing in places I haven't had in a long time.
  • I had two yesterday. First, two strangers thought that I was the mother of my granddaughter. I proudly corrected them and told them I was the grandmother:laugh: Second, I posted a picture of my son, my husband, and me before grame 4 of the finals yesterday. Almost all of the comments that followed were about how skinny I…
  • Your pictures did not scare me...they inspired me. I started my fitness journey back in January and have lost 25 pounds. I have not worn a swimsuit in at least 20 years...too ashamed to flaunt all of my curves:happy: You have inspired me to go out and buy a swimsuit and get back in the water! Pastor Special Ed sounds like…
  • Doesn't it seem amazing to be able to run a 5k? I did my third one today and nearly ran all of it (2.94) before the heat and humidity did me in. I finished by walking the rest. Congrats on your first but certainly not your last 5k!!
  • I gave up sodas on January 14, 2013. It was hard but not as hard as giving up my Cheetos. In March, I went to my grandniece's birthday party and they had Cheetos. I avoided them until my year-old grandnephew teased me with giving me one. After a few teases, he actually put one in my mouth. I inhaled and was totally grossed…
  • Congratulations!! You look amazing. I, too, am 51 and on this journey. I started at 202.4 (not my highest but where I started in January). I am down 22 pounds (tomorrow is my weekly weigh in and am hoping for good numbers) and originally my goal was to loose 50 pounds. That goal has changed and I want my final weight to be…
  • I started it on Monday and have done 2 days so far. As I am still completing a 10k app, I don't have the legs on my run days to do Jillian's workout on those days. Once I finish this app in 2 weeks, I will drop down the runs to 1-2 miles only so I can do the shred workout 6 days a week. After only 2 workouts, I can tell…
  • Good for you! I have 2 5k races under my belt and have another one in a week. Keep it up!!
  • I bought this video about 3 weeks ago and was going to wait until summer to begin it. Well, after a rather bad food weekend, I was feeling awful about myself. So I decided that my fitness couldn't wait for a "more convenient time" and completed the day 1, level 1 this evening. I was DRENCHED and I know that tomorrow will…
  • Great job! I also ran a 5k today (my second) and while my time was slllllooooooow (46.10), I did knock off 4 minutes from my first 5k in March. I used C25K and felt like you....those 15 second jogs were killers! I looked ahead to week 4 or 5 and noticed that I was supposed to run 20 minutes and thought I would never be…
  • I started the C25K back in Febraury and completed the nine weeks. I lacked confidence in myself and feared that I would bail on this program and never finish. As I looked to future workouts, I thought there was no way I would be able to run for 10 minutes let alone 30. Well, I did and it was AWESOME! When I completed that…
