I know I don't take in as much fiber as I did when eating more carbs. I had horrible IBS, was always constipated, took Miralax every day for it. NOW I am as regular as a clock! I drink my two glasses of water in the morning when I get up and bam! into the bathroom I go.

Oh dear. You are living my nightmare. I'm already in menopause but using HRT, don't know if that makes any difference except they do say hormones have a lot to do with weight loss/gain. Maybe you should jump start by going into Induction until you level off and start losing.

My 4th was great but my 5th was a nightmare! I got hungry. I NEVER get hungry. I ate and ate and ate. But all of it was low carb!!! I ended up at 34 net carbs for the day but I packed on the calories. And the fat and protein. I guess that isn't so bad?

I've been in ketosis for about four months solid. My net carbs are VERY low, like 15 to 17 a day. I do think this is key for those of us who are older. I also am only eating 1200 calories a day and the weight has just melted off.

Just wanted to say that this is so interesting and has now put the absolute fear of carbing in me!!! I have months of conferences coming up and I plan to keto through all of them. I don't see how it's worth it to put my body through the agony of going off. I can always just say no and order up some eggs from room service!

Cheese hasn't hindered my weight loss and I eat quite a bit of it. However, I have read posts from people who do have trouble with dairy. Do you have trouble with any other dairy besides cheese?
