You'll get loads of responses cuz lots of JM lovers here =) I loved it. And it totally works if you keep it up for 30 days. I kept a blog and documented my result if you want to check it out. I will forever be thankful to the Shred!

They just get smaller...pooh...

It's a great workout! Highly recommended. And trust me, if you keep up with it, she can whip you into shape in 27 minutes. I swear!

I have a Polar FT40 that I got from http://www.heartratemonitor.co.uk/polar_ft40_heart_rate_monitor.html It's £77 and the delivery was really quick. I love my HRM. Easy to read and the chest strap is really comfy!

You can log it as circuits. You can actually rename it for yourself which I did. Keep in mind, the calories burned for circuit is just an estimate so be careful when you're eating your exercise calories back. Good luck. I love the Shred, it jump started my weight loss journey!

I wear it just underneath and it shouldn't be uncomfortable at all. I agree with others, there's must be something wrong with the calibration. I've done the Shred and I am still doing them on and off. Even if I really don't try too hard and relax on some of the circuits, I still burn about 135 without working too…

Across the hall in the house we shared with 6 other people when I first moved to London, 6 years ago! I have never 'not' lived with him...haha

thank you guys!! I was just really surprised but how happy I felt. I mean, I was ecstatic to see my friend but I just felt overall really energetic! Thank you again for all the kind words!

Worth every cent. She is amazing!
-
Haha thanks! I was wearing such a big woolly coat and big ear muffs! Hehe
-
Haha, yeah, i was totally fired up the first month. Then I did Jillian Michaels 30 Day Slimdown and just did the result blog this morning. Didn't have as dramatic of a change but still some! She's amazing!

As of this morning, my weight is at 144.2, I lost 3.6lbs! Yay!

I kept a blog =) This is the result entry: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/petithamu/view/30-day-shred-result-66089 Good luck!

I did each level for 10 days. I find if the moves in Level 1 are too easy, I up the weight. I figured Level 1 was preparing me for the other two levels so I stuck with it but I did mix it up with different weights for different circuits.

thanks guys! I know it's healthy but still the high calorie count baffles me! I'm still gonna eat them though....

I have to be honest...I hate it. I don't know why people say they love it because it is freaking hard and it makes me sweat and all sticky and yucky...BUT I do it because I focus on the end result. I always knew I wasn't going to be one of those people that enjoyed working out but I still do it 6 days a week because when I…

haha, totally agree!! I like that, Satan's minion..I'll be calling her that today when I do NMTZ...

BFBM is tough, probably the hardest DVD I've done so far. I've finished the 30 Day Shred and I'm just now finishing JM's 30 Day slimdown program which incorporate the Shred, BFBM and NMTZ. I've posted the program in my blog here. The first 2 weeks are not as bad, not a lot of cardio so definitely recommend adding some on…

Hi all, I didn't log over the weekend because I'm finishing up my Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Slimdown and today (Monday) is my last day! I will weigh in and measure tomorrow and that will be my current weight. I'm taking a week off cuz I'm off to Sweden so my goal for the week would be to maintain! Good luck all!

I agree. Don't aggravate your injury more by doing any kind of jump moves. March in place but brings you knees up high. If you want to raise your heart rate, pump your arms as well and when you do, make sure you go past where your heart is, that'll raise your heart rate and burn calories. Good luck and hope you get better…

I have a Polar FT40. It comes with a chest strap and a nice looking watch. I love it! I wouldn't dare think of working out without it ever again. It definitely pushes me to jump higher or work out harder when you see that little calorie counter going up!
-
Yep, I hate looking down and see that 'little', okay, not really little, pooch starting back at me... 30 Day Shred did help me shed some inches in that area though but again, like everyone says, you can't spot reduce and since our belly probably has the most fat it will more than likely go last. Drink lots of water…

Always keep a jar of 5 spice powder for some Asian flavor food! Cumin is also a good one for flavor. Couple of things I always have in the cupboard: Paprika Cayenne Pepper Herb de Provence Knorr Chicken Stock cube Cumin Garlic Powder Celery Salt 5 Spice You'd be surprised how some of the combination of the above can add…

Homemade soft tacos! Homemade corn tortilla, turkey fajita mix and fresh pico de gallo! Yum....

Her banish fat boost metabolism is amazing cardio but it's about 55 min. Highly recommended!

I did it last month. Finished it in 30 days and did each level for 10 days like CarthagoDelenda (Hi honey!). I was sore each time I switched levels but I still pushed through. Like she said, push through the pain, unless you're injured or something. I lost 10.6lbs and inches all over, I only measured half way through so…

Oh definitely. I can eat all day with no rest...just grazing all day....but others are right. Water! I just chug a big glass of water whenever I'm thinking about food! Also, don't keep any junk food in your pantry. I threw away mine!!
-
Yes. At least it did with us. I love cooking but when I was on my own, it was easy to work out and eat differently because I just cooked for one person plus I had more time to work out. When I started going out with my bf 5 years ago, I weight 118lbs and did yoga, running and toning weekly. Then we got together and all I…

Agree with the above on your food diary. I did the Shred last month and I got some great result but I really watch what I ate. Don't give up. When i started a new plan the beginning of this month, I also gained weight in the beginning and people told me that was expected when you start a new routine. The weight eventually…
