I never quite understood the 'it's expensive to eat healthy' part...because I always find my grocery bill decreases when i buy a load of vegetables and fruit! Eating healthy doesn't need to be expensive at all. Chicken breasts is not that expensive and sometimes I buy a whole chicken, roast it and then discard the skin and…

I finished the Shred for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I have a heart rate monitor and I'm 5'2'', 148lbs and it says I burn appx 200 - 225kcal per 27 minutes work out in Level 1. This is including warm up and cool down. Some people don't add that...but I'm not fussy, I do..

I have the same problem. Eating clean also means a large calorie deficit for me. Even if I'm grazing all day, at best I hit just over 1000 kcal. Lots of people have told me to add more 'high calorie' ingredient so I use 1 tablespoon of olive oil instead a teaspoon, a tbs of peanut butter instead of a teaspoon, you get the…

Have already pre-ordered it! Sending it to my friend in the States so she can send it to me in London!!! Very excited!

I agree!

Taller than me, doesn't take much though...broad shoulders, nice chest, good back, some junk in the trunk...yes...pretty eyes, nice hair...and must be as sarcastic and cynical as me...:glasses:

I think you need to lower the weight. 5 lb weight make the routines significantly harder. I know, I'm trying to use them on my second round of Shred. Try the 3lbs weight first and see how that feels. I am crap at the side lunges as well, I just make sure I don't bend my knee like she says and I try to stick my butt out to…

My boyfriend definitely prefers the athletic/toned type which I am clearly not! But he does like definitely. He's usually the first person to notice my biceps changing...

Haha, I'd like to think so!

Exactly what the others said. This didn't happen over night! I didn't see results till 3 - 4 weeks in. Don't hone it in now, just keep going and it will happen.

Hi and Welcome! You'll love this site. The community support here is amazing and I couldn't have kept up with my eating healthy and exercising for the last month if it wasn't for my MFP peeps! Add me as a friend if you like! Tiffany

I'm currently doing the 30 Day Slimdown. It incorporates the three DVDs she has: 30 Day Shred, No more trouble zone and Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. I just finished Day 10. It's not easy! She has a program and it has rest days so it's not too bad. Here, I keep a daily blog and this one is the program:…

After many discussions of what we should do with the boyfriend...the laziness in us set in and we decided to stay home...and apparently I'm making dinner...I'll give him a bowl of wilted spinach and see what he says about that!

Organic crunchy peanut butter! It's got protein, fat, a tablespoon of it on a celery stick or a Snack a Jack wholegrain rice cake is a quick snack on the go!
-
I found a new addiction...Snack a Jack caramel rice cake...it's 50kcal per rice cake and it has just the right amount of crunch and sweetness I need when i'm munchy!
-
I am so inspired by you right now! I hope I will be brave enough one day to post a bikini pic, too! You look absolutely amazing!

I'd like to know, too...

Highly recommend it. I didn't lose 20lb but I lost 10.6 and I felt great after completing it! I kept a daily blog and here's my result entry: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/petithamu/view/30-day-shred-result-66089 It is definitely the best workout DVD I've used in a long long time! Good luck! Tiffany

Okay, that one will win me over any day! Whahaha, awesome. Someone said this to me when I first moved to London: 'So, you're an Yank, huh? You wanna experience some true English hospitality and snog in the back?' Me: That sounds gross...what's snog?

Hey, I can relate. Sunday's my weigh-in day and I gained back the 2lb I lost a week before...I was totally discouraged...but this game is not for the short term but for the long haul...it is hard but we have to look past it and just keep doing what we've been doing. I have to believe it so do you! Just keep moving and keep…

I relate...I go through phases and so far, I get a day like this once a week...how do I deal..honestly, I cry it out. I look at myself in the mirror, I see what I have done to myself and of course, deep depression sets in...and I cry...but then I wipe the tears away and say out loud, 'but I have done this! I have been…

I finished 30 Day Shred in actually 30 Days without skipping a day! And I put on a pair of jeans after 18 months of not wearing one! It's still tight but at least I buttoned it up! =)

Did you do Level 1 with the 5lb weights? When I did my first round of Level 1, I used 3lbs weight and it was hard but not super difficult. However, when I upped the weights to 5lbs...it made a HUGE difference...try that maybe?
-
That happened to me last month, I was feeling horrendous. I drank a truck loads of water and try to lower my sodium intake. Also...believe it or not, I worked out. I was doing Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred and I didn't want to skip any days so cramps or not, I was going to do them. Shockingly, exercise actually eased my…

I have a bowl of miso soup and an apple!

Wow, lots of explanation. Thanks for this! It really helps. It at least helps me understand about calories a bit better and that I don't feel so guilty when I'm not hitting my calorie mark. I am eating really clean and really healthy and I do believe quality over quantity... Thank you all again! Tiffany
