Congratulations!!!! I think I'm about 5 weeks as well, not sure yet, waiting for a midwife to contact me and make an appointment. I stopped running completely because until the doc or the midwife tell me it's okay to run, I think I should hold off...anyway, congrats to us, it is such an amazing but scary feeling!

Thank you for the blog recommendation! i will definitely check it out. I've been exercising consistently since December so it would be a shame to have to stop! Thank you so much again!

Thank you guys! I will definitely speak to my doc about this. Wait till my trainer hears the news...she is going to flip!

Finished W4D1 today on the treadmill post an hour of personal training. I want to say it was easy but it really wasn't...I kept looking at the clock begging it to go faster...5 minutes is a REALLY LONG TIME! But I pushed through it and finished the set. I was absolutely spent afterwards...dragged my tired butt home and…

I found week 3 a bit easy as well...it just seemed really short? Week 4 starts either tonight or tomorrow, I haven't decided yet... I feel like I'm running really slow, like 'walkers' are faster than me...anyone feel this way? Oh, this helps me so maybe it'll help others: I count when I run. I read in an article posted on…

Sorry hasn't checked in! W3D2 - Treadmill after a 30 minute strength training. Incline was only 0.5, going about 8.5 - 10kph. Honestly, it wasn't that hard. Week 3 seems shorter even though it's still 28 minutes. I think it's because there's a walk at the end follow by a cool down so it's really 8 minutes of walking. W3D3…

Finished W3D1 yesterday on the treadmill. It wasn't easy but it wasn't super hard. My left knee gave me some problem at the first 1 1/2 min run but it went away after the first 3 minute walk. I thought the whole thing was quite short...so I actually did two round of the whole set so a total of 50 some odd minutes. I felt…

This is an excellent idea!!

Whew, finished W2D3! Did it on the treadmill today. I thought it would be easier but I was so spent after an hour of strength training, I barely had anything to give on the treadmill. I also didn't like having to change my speed every 90 seconds...that was annoying... Think I'm going to do another day of Week 2 some time…

I think I should've skipped yesterday...I'm debating whether or not to go spinning today...I stretched after but only did a very quick stretch right before...it's really just my right side as well...i feel lopsided..

After my run yesterday, today i am really really REALLY sore...no running today but don't know how I'm gonna do it tomorrow....

1. Bread 2. Bread 3. Fried chicken... Fried chicken on bread! Ahh...

Thank you for posting this! This is EXACTLY what I needed to read after my run today....so so helpful!

I'm so envious of you guys...I'm 5'1 and I would be SOOOOO happy to get to 115...but I'm stuck at 138 and I haven't lost any weight in so long...it's so discouraging...have you guys always been thin?
-
I just finished W2D2. It was hard...anyone else feel really heavy when they're running? Like gravity is just dragging you down? It could be cuz my TOM is coming soon but I feel really heavy and uncomfortable...and I can't get my breathing into a rhythm...it's really discouraging....

Hi, am I too late?! I started C25K two weeks ago and finished Week 1 but then I went on holiday. I started back on yesterday and I finished W2D1. I'm also seeing a personal trainer on Tue/Thur and I spin on Tue/Wed. I really need some motivation about running because I really hate it...but I want to complete it because it…

I might do that...transfer it over to Runkeeper...thanks guys!

I have Moving Comfort and I find it absolutely amazing! I used to just wear it during strength training but I took it out for a run few days ago and I loved it! Bit pricy though...

Yes and you will build muscle which will in turn help burn fat. As far as weight loss, I've seen people losing from 3lbs to 15lbs. I lost 10.6lbs myself. You will definitely look like you've lost more weight than the actual loss because you will look toned. Highly recommended! Here's my result blog on the shred:…

This is the one I downloaded from iTune: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/c25k-couch-to-5k/id301233668?mt=8 There's a guy on it that says 'Run' and 'Walk' when it's time to do so. The music won't stop, you'll just hear him say it as the music is going but the music will quiet down a little bit so you can actually hear him. I…

Thanks guys!! I needed to get a new pair of trainers because the old one's got holes in it now so I went to a 'shoe specialist' which prompted me to get a pair of good running shoes. Then we spoke about C25K and he made it sound like I could do it! He had me running on a treadmill to see how my feet lands, it was actually…

HAHAHAHAHAHA ohhhh...hahahaha um...get some butt implants?
-
I lost 10.6lb when I did Shred and that was before I incorporated spinning.

Welcome! Love spinning and I'm also a 30DS veteran. Spin 5 days a week! That is a lot! At best I do 3x a week plus 2 days of strength training and that's enough to keep me sore all week! Don't overexert yourself this early on because you don't want to burn out. Maybe try doing spin 2 - 3x a week then build up to it? Good…

Do you belong to a gym? I don't know any spin classes that's not done in a gym... I go to Virgin Active in Islington for spin on Tue/Thur and I love it! I've never done spin anywhere else though... Virgin Active is really expensive...I can barely afford it but they do have some awesome classes, bootcamp as well.

spinning? My legs toned up dramatically the last 2 months of spinning. I spin twice a week.

Did a 5k three years ago and I am not a runner! 35 minutes =) I'd try it again once my knee is better..but I really hate running!

I can't really add anything more than what everyone has already said and they are all right. Just remember that you are NEVER the only one going through this. I can't tell you how many times I've moaned and *****ed on MFP about calorie counting and exercising. Actually, here, for a good laugh, read about my last ranting…

I started on December 29 2010 and I did it continuously for 30 days. I also walked for 30 minutes 2x a week and tried to keep it at my 1200kcal allowance and I had a treat meal every week. I didn't measure from the beginning so the measurement is a bit off but I lost a total of 10.6lb in 30 days. Good luck girls! BEFORE:…
