I agree, and in my wife's case she was just diagnosed with type 2 this past Sept and she is in no way over weight, she is 5f 6 and weights 137lbs. So in her case it is not Obesity that caused it. If they do not start eating properly and exercising then they will just end up back to where they started.

I agree, your body's weight can fluctuate all day. I find that weighing in once a week and taking measurements at the same time of day (usually when I first wake up). I really don't care about the scale as much as I do the measurements. If my inches are going down and my clothing is getting looser then I am good.

There is another one out that slams super size me called Fat Head. I watched it on Netflix.

That is super. My wife now makes us a nice fruit smoothie with nothing but fresh fruit (strawberries and bananas) ice and Greek yogurt with some ice. That's my new addiction.

I am not really sure. I work out with weights on Mon, Wed, Fri and do cardio on Tues, Thurs and sometimes Sat. Sunday is my day off. Also I change my workout routine every 4 weeks.

Put those pictures on your fridge (but you can take them down when company comes over) and every time you think of cheating you will see those pics and stop yourself. Great motivation. With the support you get from this site I know you will do great and look great in no time.

Hmm Been 3 days now and no reply from head office??

I would suggest staying away from those bars as they are full of fillers and sugar. Eat more healthier foods/snacks and increase your calorie intake about 200 calories over your daily allowance to gain a few pounds back. Also try the weight lifting. Sometimes toning can help add the definition you might be looking for.

I did the website and there is no way I can eat 3000+ calories a day.

Yes sorry I ment BMR and yes, I forgot I included the exercise. Thank you for the help. So basically as long as I keep eating 1800-2000 calories a day I should be dropping fast?

Your sodium is very high which in turn will store water. Try to cut it down. Also I do not like scales, altho I do weight in once a week I go more by measurements and how my clothing feels on me (looser or tighter). If you want to do a good low carb diet I would suggest getting some low carb cook books and keep eating…

You guys are right, I am the first to tell you I hate scale numbers but thought WTH with gaining weight. I mean at 300 lbs any workout and eating at a deficit should result in bigger scale numbers. I will stop obsessing over the scale numbers and go with measurements. Thanks Guys and Gals

Lol I was just going to send you a private message about this. I like your thinking. I am going to change my weigh in to the scale at home. Even tho it will look like I dropped like 10 lbs this week... ;) Thanks

I have seen a few eating plans that actually give you a "FREE" day and you can eat whatever you want once a week. A friend of mine was on one of these meal plans and he lost a ton of weight. So what I am saying is its ok to go over once in a while, it shocks your body back, you body becomes accustomed to what you do…

I agree here, unless you are working out different body parts everyday you need rest. I work out Mon, Wed, Fri and do cardio Tues, Thurs and take Sat, Sun off.

Almonds, or just about any nut.

Same here, in RL its just me with support from my wife and kids (they are all skinny minnies..lol). So it is very refreshing to come on here a couple times a day and seeing everyone that is in the same boat I am in and the support from everyone here is absolutely GREAT. Fell free to add me as well. I feel the more support…

Wow you might want to look around. I found a generic store brand lite mayo with 2g of sugar and 30 calories per tbsp.
-
Wow what a difference. I can't wait till I can post my before and after pics like that. Great job and a definite inspiration for the rest of us. You look great.

From my experience I would tell you to throw away the scale. It lies a lot. One thing to remember is that muscle weighs more than fat. Therefore the scale may say you lost 1.0 lbs this week when in reality you could have lost 4 lbs of fat but gained 3 lbs of muscle and more muscle means more calories being burnt even at…

Don't think of it as a diet. Think of it as a lifestyle change. The problem with diets are when you come off them you go back to the old ways of eating. I too have a love for food but now instead of eating empty calories or junk food I try to make my food count. You will find that a healthy eating habit will keep you…

I have done a lot of research about how many calories one should consume in a day. I have found that for a female you need to consume at least 1700 Calories a day just to be able to function, anything less and you put your body into starvation mode which means that everything you eat will be stored for later on. Also if…

I would like in on this too.
