  • Will I eat at a calorie DEFICIT forever? No. Will I generally eat at or below maintenance because I've learned that VLCDs as well as high Calorie are unhealthy? Yes. And I didn't need to live off my great grandmothers cabbage soup for 5 meals a day.
  • I am not a creature of habit. I have to change up food often, which is why I don't meal prep for the week.
  • The soup itself is actually tasty. But...every meal? Heck no, I was done after 2.5 days. Nice to see you made bond again, M. Lol
  • I did the cabbage soup diet. It's crap and doesn't work. And before you ask about: I did the south beach diet. It's crap and doesn't work. I did the slim fast diet. It's crap and doesn't work. I did the grapefruit diet. It's crap and doesn't work. I did the "drink warm lemon water and you can eat whatever you want and as…
  • I took the adipex about 1.5 months. I did it solely to help my constant feeling of hunger, so I'd stop binge eating. Yes, it helped with that. And unlike what a diet clinic tends to tell you, you can eat bread. I've also heard of some clinics that ask you to follow a 500calorie a day diet. If they did that, please walk…
  • #whatever. When you've told someone what MFP is, how to weigh, log etc, and then you peek at her plate from the cafeteria, and want to say "THIS is why you haven't lost weight!"
  • You're probably eating more than 1000 calories a day. Weigh your food, and sknt use generic entries in the database. Also, calorie burns are largely overestimated on here. If you eat any back, only eat half. Is this your first week? Remember, weight loss isnt exact. It's trial and error. Be accurate with logging, log ALL…
  • Exactly. I've never drank 20 ounces of whiskey at once. Just like I'm NOT on a food logging app in attmpt to lose weight because I overdid it on calories.
  • This is why I don't even ave sugar on my list of things I see anymore. I traded it for potassium, as I recently had a bout with it being low (holy tiredness and leg pains, batman!) Today was a mcmuffin, some grape tomatoes, 5 green grapes, and a smart ones frozen meal which had BBQ sauce. 10 bucks says I'd be over already,…
  • in because alcohol threads always go smoothly. LOL Drink what you like, log it.
  • I couldn't give up....anything that I want to eat. Fad dieters will come around soon enough, and see the light. I won't speak badly of them, because we've all been there. So glad I found out about MFP, and have received great advice and made new buds that have helped me lose weight and become healthier!
  • And you're guilty of what? Enjoying the start of your weekend, and sharing a delicious meal your wife prepared for you? Ha know, I've gone over my calories every day this week ...rather significantly, but I'm not guilty of anything. It's nurses week, and I've enjoyed the treats brought to us :). You shouldn't feel guilty…
  • ..... Didn't we get to where we are by eating however much we want of stuff? I give it till the weekend before someone asks opinions in the cabbage soup diet or banana island diet.
  • You HAVE to go to Mothers. HAVE TO. poboy and crawfish étouffée are amazing there!
  • Untrue.
  • If you're following a "diet" that prohibits foods or hails one food as a super magical weight loss food, you're wasting your time.
  • I make a pretty darn amazing southern pecan pound cake. it has these sugared pecans baked on top of it, and it's amazing with a cup of coffee to dip it in. I wouldn't be mad if you told me I could only eat that forever, I wouldn't hate you!

  • Okay, I'm not even crazy about pizza, as me and BF order it often to avoid cooking/cleaning up haha, but now I'm wanting some!

  • "spaghetti ala Gondolier" from a local chan-ish place: about 4 pounds Spaghetti noodles, sauce with ground beef and sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, covered in about a pound of cheese, and baked. *drool*

  • I watched the film, and don't get me wrong, I think it is important to eat a "nutritious" diet, (You know, somewhat in accordance with our food pyramid or wtfe it is now, haha.), but I was constantly yelling "bullcrap" at the television while watching it. haha. It's gubment conspiracy. Alls of it.
  • Yeah, 10 a month is a little redonkulous. But from the sounds of it, it wouldn't be worth it even if were only 5 bucks, And why per month, year, etc? Why not a one time flat free for forevah!
  • So far the main think I like is daily calorie goals, if I wanted to do like 5:2 or something. But I just try to keep up with weekly goals for those plans.
  • giggle. :) Wish they'd have a popup every time I sign on, so we could know abou it!
  • If you're eating at a deficit, then you'd be losing weight. Though I believe exercise is important for overall health, the above listed advice is all you need for loss. I'm sorry, I believe you're eating more than you're saying, or more than you think.
  • Yeah, I wanna come in and add if someone feels that they need to, or want to give up a certain something, then that's their choice, just as many of us choose to partake in those foods others seem forbidden. Nowhere am I saying "no, go eat all the sugarz" haha. I rarely eat ice cream because it's a nomz I have control…
  • I think the issue is OP believes she should be losing more due to the fact she doesn't eat "unhealthy food"(no such thing, btw). If there is not a deficit of calories at the end, you're going to gain, be it if the calories come from sodas or organic gluten free no antibiotics sugarless chicken breast or whatnot. It's just…
  • And how much did you pay for this "beyond diet" that restricts you from foods you may love, saying you can never eat them, and makes you believe certain foods are actually toxic to your body?? I eat what I want, when I want, I just weigh my food. I have pizza. I drink creamer in my coffee, I have coca colas -gasp- even NON…
  • Special K cracker chips are 140 ish for approx 30 chips. When I want stuff like that, I weigh out portions and fit it into my goals. I fit stuff like that daily, actually, by prelogging. Try that, and fitting things into your day :)
  • Acworth!
