  • I'm in Week 2 of Insanity (Day 12) and it's my first time doing the program. I love it already and how much it kicks my butt! I've noticed some small changes in my body already and I just feel better too. I'm not following the meal plan but trying to stick to the recommended amount of calories based on the equation in it…
  • Feel free to add me! I've always done it on my own before too, but I think it's really great to have people who are in the same boat as you and can encourage you!
  • Feel free to add me :) I'm looking more to get toned all over than to lose pounds and to get stronger. It's always good to have others who can hold each other accountable.
  • When I was in college, especially my last semester when I had 23 credit hours, I just had to make working out a non-negotiable part of my schedule every day. I had to make sure that it wasn't something that I would get to if there was time, because then most days I would never get to it. Instead, other things worked around…
  • I definitely recommend the Couch to 5K program as well. I had never been a runner my whole life, and I never thought I could be. I have asthma, and I would always have to stop because I couldn't breathe. Then as I got more out of shape, it never seemed possible. But I started C25K and just followed the program exactly, and…
  • I love seeing everyone's pictures- you all look great!! I started doing the Shred back in Spring, but I had to stop due to having back surgery with strict recovery restrictions. Now I'm starting it over and I'm determined to finish. I did day 2 today, and boy am I sore! I plan on doing it 5-6 days a week and I'm also…
  • My favorite breakfasts are gluten free bread toasted (I like Ener-g light) with strawberry rhubarb fruit spread or an egg white breakfast burrito with whatever vegetables I have in the house on a brown rice tortilla.
  • Most significantly, my stomach feels like it's being torn apart and the pain increases every time I eat anything for about 24 hours. I also have "bathroom issues", bloating, and joint pain. Basically it's completely miserable and I feel it right away.
  • The best chain restaurants I have come across with understanding and accommodating GF are PF Chang's, Outback, and Maggiano's. At Maggiano's, the chef will even come out and talk to you about what your options are and can make things special for you if you'd like. Some other good ones are Chili's, Joe's Crab Shack,…
  • I'm starting Week 2 tomorrow. I'm a little nervous, but Week 1 was easy for me when I was nervous about that, so I think I can do it! I just need to remember to focus on breathing. I think a big part of success with this program is just taking it day by day and not getting too psyched out about what's to come.
