Good for you! I put mine down in my backyard storage shed. Of course, I know where it is and have legs that work, but really going to try to leave it alone! I like the reward idea, but have a hard time coming up with good rewards that aren't too $$$. I'm thinking and hoping someone else might come up with something…

Thanks for starting this group, Jessica! I've been debating ditching the scale for a few weeks and this finally did it for me. I've been I am way too dependent upon what it says as a measure of "success", esp when I can feel that my body is changing and measurements have proven it. My name is Jeanne and I Iive near…

OK, count me in! My gut is telling me that this is the right thing to do. I'm scared crazy by it, but it will really force me to do what I know I need to w/o the highs and lows of going up and down. I hope you will create a group as it makes things much easier to follow. Here's to NO SCALES! *I will need support on this…

3/28 = 1.5mi 3/29 = 6.25mi Congrats to those that have finished! I should, too, although I wasn't so certain for the month while I was sick. I'm also a heat and humidity hater! Thank God, I live in MN where it's tolerable 10mos out of the year. I've heard it's a choice between the humidity in the AM or the heat in the PM.…

My Baxter is a blue-eyed, bi-color Beagle. Sweetest boy ever! He was a rescue doggy and huge handful when I got him. 5 years later and he's mellowed a lot. Loves his walks/hunts as long as it's not too hot out. Keeps my butt moving!!!

^^^ Congrats, Leslye!!! 3/17 = 1.5mi 3/18 = 4mi <<< Ran 2.5mi today. First run in 4wks due to the fall and then this darn virus. Trying to get back into it. Lungs only about 85% recovered, went too fast, plus twice the humidity and 40deg warmer than the last time I ran. Talk about a brutal adjustment!

Alice - so glad you're feeling better! Leslye - Way to go! Just 6mi for me since I last posted. It's been a rough week. Still coughing like crazy, but I've turned the corner. My goal is to get moving again this week, mostly walking a lot more, and be running again on Sat. Fingers cross that this clears up completely by…

So sorry for your pet (dog?). Nothing sadder. I hope he starts to come around soon. I have had a rough 3 weeks, too. Virus that started then came on with a vengeance this past weekend. It's been awful, mostly chest congestion. And in between, I wiped out in my stairway and was all bruised up on my butt/thigh. I have run 1x…

2/14 = 4.75mi Not a racer, just a runner. All the craziness of crowds and parking and buses and whatnot takes the fun out of it for me. Love hearing your stories, though, everyone!
